I spent 40 years in the alternative health industry. I (email hidden) 1st in San Jose, Ca and then in Sacramento, Ca. I came to Cuenca in June 2011, and after living in "rooms" i was able to find a big enough place to share with others.
The experience i had, will be nothing like what i will provide for my guests. I lived in places where we were lucky to get 2 minutes of hot water. Another place i stayed, i couldn't use the upstairs bath to take a shower at night, and to use the bathroom i had to go to down the stairs, and to the end of the house at night.
I was so cold in both the other places, that i would cry. Cuecna is a cold city, but this home that i now live in, although not warn or hot, it certainly isn't as cold as other places i have lived. I hope to bring comfort and a sense of peace to those who stay with me.
It was a difficult and daring chance i took to leave everything behind and start a new, in an unfamiliar country and City. I hope to help you make your visit to Ecuador, as pleasant as possible.
May God be with you in your travels and keep you safe, where ever you are.
