Great apartment for my parents on their visit to Brooklyn! The pics don't do the garden justice - it's HUGE and a perfect place to while away the hours on a nice day. Jr was super responsive and even checked in to see how things were going during the trip (nothing was needed, but it was a nice gesture). Whole apartment was spacious and well laid-out. Big plus: no stairs. Close to all kinds of restaurants and coffee shops while still located on a beautiful, quiet block. I will definitely book it again for other stays if someone doesn't beat me to it!
June was there to greet us when we arrived and gave us a tour of the apartment and she was available by phone if needed during the stay. It is located in a very nice neighborhood with nearby access to restaurants of various types and cost points as well as near the NYC subway system. The apartment is on the ground floor which means it is easy to get luggage into the apartment. The backyard is a nice place to relax. Storage space for the renter is limited.
We loved staying in Boerum Hill at June's place. It is a wonderful neighborhood with lots of great restaurants and shops. It is easy to walk to other neighborhoods of Brooklyn and we did that all weekend. June's apartment is perfect for a couple. She was gracious about us using the kitchen and in the nice weather her back yard would be lovely to sit in. We would definitely stay here again.
June's place was great. Conveniently located, comfortable, and it had a wonderful backyard and garden adjacent to the unit. June was kind enough to orient us with directions and places to eat in the neighborhood, and even left us extra towels. A wonderful home that we would definitely stay in again.
JR was a wonderful landlord and easy to coordinate with. Her home is so comfortable and quiet, much quieter than expected since the bedroom is on the street.
We would definitely stay here agin.
I was not the guest, my parents were.
We wanted a place that was near my apartment and had a difficult time nailing one down. Jr was generally quick to respond to my initial emails and worked through some annoying problems with the site to allow me to finally reserve through airbnb. I am very grateful for that.
The apartment is cozy, full of cookbooks, and has a fantastic back yard garden -- this would be a really great summer rental. It's on a beautiful, tree-lined street, very convenient to public transportation. Although it's on the ground floor, my parents had no complaints about noise. They even had the windows open a bit.
I think Jr is pretty new to airbnb and requested feedback on my parents visit, very open to how it can be better for guests in the future.
