At thirty, I'm finding that I am in love with traveling, exploring new cultures, trying new things to eat and taking in all that we are lucky to have in the world. When I'm not traveling (sadly most of the time due to my 2 week vacation allowance), I am a Web Merchandiser for a US based action-sport retailer in the Pacific Northwest.

I live in Seattle (98118 - the most diverse Zip Code in the country!) with my chef husband, Sheltie dog and a fluffy cat named Sloth. I enjoy reading books (all types), magazines (travel, fashion, gardening, home, cooking), blogs (all types). I really love trying new types of foods and drinks, frequenting the many great restaurants we have here and when I visit my childhood home in Chicago. Music is another one of my passions, with the year being incomplete if I haven't attended a live show. In 2012 (present year) I have been to at least 5 shows and hope another pops up.

While I am drawn to Western Europe, I have explored (however briefly) Japan, Mexico, Canada, the Caribbean, Turkey in addition to at least 26 states of the US. What type of guest you ask are my husband and I? Well, we love charming places that allow us to fit in like "locals". We are respectful of the decor, cleaning up after ourselves, enjoying some meals at "home", lounging around - sleeping in late from time to time, being timely and chatting with the hosts - cause they know their city/town better than we will! My style of traveling is going in with a plan (having a flight booked and lodging picked out). I like to know what is available to do where I go, but am okay if I don't have time for it. I like to see where the trip takes me and not be too worried if something is unexpectedly closed or a train doesn't arrive (granted if this doesn't effect my flight home).

And that's a brief - albeit not that brief - statement about my and a little about my husband. I love answering any and all questions, as I love to ask them!
