I am not sure what I enjoyed more, my stay at Bridget's Venice Beach house or my conversation with her the day I checked in. Both were delightful. Her place is comfortable, cozy, and convenient with all the amenities you could ask for and a few you probably wouldn't think of.
I can't recommend this place highly enough.
Bridget was the most welcoming and warming Airbnb host I've had yet, and made our experience a very memorable one. Her accommodations are something out of a movie (and maybe they are...), and made for the perfect backdrop for our night. I can't thank her enough for being as gracious and entertaining as she was, and look forward to staying at her units again.
A beautifully appointed home and a lovely host!
There are not enough words to express how wonderful our stay at Bridget's was. She truly was the hostess with the mostest! Her little paradise is just like the pics and more; colorful, cozy, and very, very special. The atmosphere and location were amazing...gardens in front and back, the inside an art lover's dream, the beach right down the path, and the canals and Abbot Kinney shopping/restaurants within walking distance. Bridget provided everything, from beach chairs and bikes to reading materials and recommendations, luxurious bath products, and even some wonderful wine which she toasted us with upon arrival. She is a delightful conversationalist, and so very accommodating. Our only regret is that we didn't spend more time with her. We will be back!
Overall, Bridget was hands down amazing. As this being my first real Airbnb experience, I've never felt so welcome and comfortable by a stranger before. It was however, at times difficult to reach her via Airbnb, but when our numbers and emails were exchanged, it was a breeze. And just from meeting her once, one can already tell that she is the epitome of downtown's arts district.
The rooftop, trailer, and the view are just as the images are portrayed. Even when walking up the stairs to view it for the first time, I was greeted by rays of sunshine, butterflies, and a sweet smelling breeze. Ha, I must've just had one of those "right time, right place" moments, but it honestly enhanced my love for the space. Not to mention on the way to the roof, you get to view Bridget's living space, which is filled with unique art, collectibles, and everything in between.
If I were to describe my night's stay in one word, it would be definitely be "Surreal." I highly recommend booking it, as it is truly one of LA's hidden gems.
We had a magical stay at Bridget's beach house. It was the perfect spot for our family. Upon arrival our kids (4 and 2) kicked off their shoes and began to explore. Bridget was a great host and we loved meeting her when we arrived in Venice. She gave us a quick tour of the house, showed us where everything was, and presented us with her amazing visitor books -- listings for everything, maps, coffee shops, restaurants, urgent care, bike rentals, etc. It was so helpful. Her home is stocked with everything you could need (and then some) -- coffee, tea, soap, shampoo, first aid, sunscreen, beach towels, beach bags, cozy linens and blankets -- all organized and tucked away in neat closets.
The fairy lights at night were really special and our biggest decision was where to have our evening wine - in the front or back garden/patio area. The house is (as stated) a half block from the beach, but tucked away from the all the action and is very safe. The garage is a major plus.
I highly recommend renting bikes and doing the path all the way to the Palisades. It's a great way to see the beach. Thanks again Bridget.
Very nice place with stylish vintage interior in Venice, very close to the beach and boardwalk. Loved it.
We worked out the details re our stay quickly and easily with Bridget. She provided very detailed directions to her house, and assembled books with recommendations re restaurants, walks, etc. And her place is very very charming!! I will definitely return if I have the chance!!
Bridget is amazing! She greeted Josh and I with all her character and charm! We really like her! She is a lovely creative genius! The house is even more awesome than the photos! It's SO beautiful! There are chandeliers hanging in the front garden on timers which creates such an ambience! The bathroom has extra supplies including first aid! The kitchen is stocked with cooking supplies that are too cute for words! And there's all the extra coziest blankets you could ever need! The house is on a walking path so it's actually very quiet considering it's so close to the Venice boardwalk! It is also amazingly centrally located. We were walking distance from coffee shops, eateries and shopping! And the garage was a major plus! Bridget's house is lovely on so many levels and so is she! Thank you heaps and heaps! We'll see you again soon!!!!
The neighborhood, and home was exactly what we wanted! We we're 4 guys from the east coast looking to have some fun in the sun for a long weekend. Venice was perfect for this, lots of entertainment nearby, and at night we'd head over Abbot Kinney which was a short walk or a super cheap Uber ride, being from NYC, always amazed at how cheap Uber is in LA. Bridget was always available, granted we didn't need anything. Her home can easily sleep 6, but 3-4 is way more ideal. The front yard, and the more secluded patio were awesome for us to chill out in as well.
