Bridget made me feel personally welcome as soon as I arrived. She stayed in contact by mobile, and was the queen of Airbnb hosts. She, and her Husband Timothy, Rock. The neighborhood is the Downtown LA Arts District, and it is right in the heart of it. Some of the hippest restaurants, bars, and clubs in Los Angeles are within a two-block radius. A very accurate listing, it is just south of Little Tokyo.
This place has Location (and a view,) Location (and a view,) Location (and a view.) It is not for the faint of heart, you will be going up a few flights of stairs, and downtown LA still has some rough edges. You will be staying in a rocking most excellent vintage Airstream trailer, with a spectacular view of Downtown Los Angeles. If what you care about are the view, the great hosts, and the fantastic trailer and decor then look no further. The amazing 1950s theme with fantastic tableware, decor, and artificial grass will make for a memorable visit to Downtown Los Angeles. Bring a bike and a camera.
Thank you Timothy and Bridget, look forward to coming back to 428!
Great experience!! Bridget is so sweet and helpful! The apartment is perfectly described - literally steps from the beach!!! Enjoyable experience!
Bridget's place was awesome! She was easy to book with, and really made sure that we had everything we needed to have a comfortable stay. She hand made several books with printed maps, instructions on restaurants and where to eat, where to park, and where to shop. She showed us all of the extras we might need (towels, sheets, etc.) The house is set up as a strictly rentable space, and she does not keep any of her personal effects in the house (so all of the cabinets and drawers are available for you to spread out in). She is literally about 7 houses away from Venice beach. Awesome! Would definitely book again!
Bridget was super sweet, welcoming and accommodating. The place is beautiful and accurately depicted in the photos. Ideal experience. Wouldn't change anything. Thanks Bridget!
Bridget was so welcoming to my friend and I, who enjoyed 10 days in Bridget's studio. She welcomed us with plenty of information on the area and even books that she put together herself with copies of maps and pamphlets on the area to keep with us! She has a washer and dryer for our use as well along with beach blankets, bicycles, beach chairs and umbrellas. There was plenty of room to hang clothes and some drawer space as well. Sidenote, the only mirror is a small one above the bathroom sink, so no full length mirror in the studio, so that was a small challenge. However, The best part of Bridget's studio is probably the location. Within walking distance there is a market, Cafe Collage, which is a great breakfast and coffee spot, along with other coffee shops bars, and places to grab lunch or dinner. We had a rental car, but found that it would have been better to not have one, as we walked to the beach (the studio is literally steps to the beach) and we didnt have parking access to the garage, so parking became a bit troublesome. Overall, We could not have been more pleased with our stay. Bridget really makes sure that her guests are comfortable and we are so appreciative of her kindness and hospitality. We would be delighted to book our stay at Bridget's studio next time we make our way to the west coast!
Bridget was very accommodating during our stay. She gave me a very thorough tour of the space initially and was very trusting and respectful of my time there. As for the actual space, it was INCREDIBLE! I challenge you to find a more unique lodging experience anywhere else in the world! Rooftop, downtown LA, airstream trailer, projector (that actually works really well), it was a one-of-a-kind experience! My girlfriend and I will definitely be paying a visit again in the near future.
Fantastic location. A cosy studio with an artistic touch. Bridget was a very welcoming host.
A beautiful retro, arty vibe with an extraordinary attention to detail. A great place to hang out in, read and drink wine. Bridget has thought of everything you could possibly want including appliances, recommended walks and bike rides. Quiet area. Would thoroughly recommend though better suited to 2
Bridget was incredibly welcoming and her house is wonderful, just as described by other reviewers, really charming and full of all sorts of goodies for kids and grown ups. The location is fantastic and so convenient for the beach and all the local restaurants etc. We can't wait to go back.
