Response from Linda:
Patti is such a wonderful hostess that I would love to move to Jacksonville and be her neighbor! The upper bedroom includes its own ensuite with full tub and shower, double bed with luxurious linens, antique wardrobe complete with plush bathrobes, large bureau with mirror, reading nook, desk, and flat screen TV that plays VHS or DVDs. On the landing a refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, electric tea kettle, and all needed condiments are provided. A separate parking pad is conveniently located near the charming porch with old fashioned swing, table, chairs, and Vincent the Cat (who is not allowed upstairs). The neighborhood is quiet, but one can walk to unique eateries and shops or fetch a movie from the nearby drugstore. Patti suggested local restaurants and things to do like the art museum and weekend farmers/art market all within minutes by car. The commute to Shands Hospital is less than 8 minutes which was perfect for my daughter who had surgery in June. We intended to repeat our stay this month for the medical follow-up, but we did not book fast enough! I'm telling everyone I know who plans a trip to Jacksonville to make reservations early.
