I am a scientist in my other life but, as an Airbnb host, I enjoy meeting people from all over the world! Thank you for sharing your adventures!
I just had a fantastic experience staying at Cynthia's place. The studio is very centrally located. Cynthia and her husband are terrific hosts, very warm, welcoming, and attentive. The studio is beautiful, with a very serene atmosphere, both inside and outdoors. The place is equipped with anything you may need for a very comfortable stay, a Keurig for great morning coffee, blender, microwave, and even though I didn[t use any of it, a fully equipped kitchen. The bathroom is very spacious, super clean, and the towels were great. Bed is very comfortable. Even the WiFi signal was very stable and strong. I only wish I could have stayed longer, to just chill and enjoy the vibe. I can't recommend the place enough. I will certainly return next time I travel to Tucson.
Our first Airbnb experience, Cindy’s Poet’s Studio was nothing short of exceptional. The studio was clean, comfortable and perfectly appointed. The property, peaceful and private. A special place, to be sure.
What a great place...private, secluded, and perfect for two.
My husband and I spent this winter at Poet's Studio. It is a peaceful, beautiful spot, only minutes away from downtown Tucson. Cindy and Brett were wonderful
hosts and a terrific resource re. what's going on in Tucson, whether it be good restaurants or things to do. We can't recommend Poet's Studio highly enough!
I had a wonderful stay at the Tucson Poet's Studio! It's a terrific, safe, centrally-located "base camp" from which to explore everything Tucson has to offer. I lived in Tucson for many years, so it felt good to stay in a home, vs. a generic hotel.
I cannot imagine staying in a hotel/motel again, now that I discovered this place. The studio is spacious, quiet, bright and clean, offering every amenity you can imagine: a small fully-equipped kitchen, gigantic walk-in shower with both rain and handheld showerheads, wood-burning beehive fireplace, heater with remote control, comfy bed, work area and more.
What made my stay extra-special, however, are the little, thoughtful touches everywhere: local tamales in the freezer, chocolates and fruit on the table, maps and guidebooks galore, local hand-made soaps, wood and starter-paper for the fireplace. And did I mention the friendly hosts? I was greeted upon arrival and Cindy made sure to follow up with me, telling me to let her know if there was anything else I needed.
I normally do not sleep well away from home, but I slept like a baby at the Tucson Poet's Studio. It was just the getaway I needed and I hope to stay again on my next trip to the area.
My partner and I just completed a lovely stay at The Tucson Poet's Studio. The studio is exactly as described, and as lovely as the photos portray. There are so many personal touches that made it feel more like a hotel room: fresh new bars of soap at the sink and the shower, which just happen to be local handmade soap, for instance! The studio is very private and I especially enjoyed how quiet it was, as this is important to me when I travel. The most noise came from the birds that gathered outside our window in the mornings! I noticed that the studio is an interesting mix of modern and antique -- modern in ways you would hope, like the ultra-modern and quiet heating & air conditioning unit, the kitchen and bathroom furnishings; and antique in some of the furnishings which give its unique character, like the gorgeous mahogany doors. My hope is to be able to visit again in other seasons to experience the place in the hot summer weather, and more moderate spring and summer weather. Thanks for a great stay, Cynthia!
The Poet's Studio was so cozy and accommodating. Cynthia is terrific, I look forward to returning to Tucson and staying there again!
We love this place! This was our second stay at the Poets' Studio. The private parking and entrance, the central location and the amenities were enough to make our stay wonderful, but this time, with a snap of cold weather, we also got to use the beehive fireplace. It was heaven to come in out of the cold, crank up the fire and bask in it's warmth. Very romantic.
We were able to experience the Gaslight Theater, Tohono Chul Park, the Fourth Avenue Street Fair and the Yume Japanese Gardens. They are all fairly short drives from this cozy studio/apartment. We also ate breakfast at Frank's/Francisco's (Fine Dining Elsewhere!) which is only a stone's throw away. It was a hoot!
Whatever your plans or expectations, they are doable, if you stay here. Both Brett and Cindy, our hosts, went out of their way to ensure our stay was perfect.

P.S. We were unable to use the wading pool this time because of the unusual cold, but look forward to packing our swimsuits the next time we visit.
My wife and I spent six nights during Thanksgiving week at the Tucson Poet's Studio and we can fully attest to the rave reviews you will read. Cindy and Brett are wonderful people and truly thoughtful hosts. Over and over again during our stay we appreciated the attention to detail that make a good experience great. Every time we thought, "Do they have X?" They had it. And the attention to detail goes beyond the obvious. For example, yes there is the wonderful fireplace but Brett and Cindy also provide the matches, the newspaper, pine cones, kindling, and larger logs that make it practically a turnkey fire starter. The studio is intimate and romantic and yet spacious. There is an abundance of natural light and yet the studio is private and quite. In the mornings we would start a fire and open the curtains with the view of the mountains.
The side entrance to the studio has motion detecting lighting to illuminate your way after the sun sets. Amenities one would expect in a hotel are provided such as robes, a hair dryer, a coffee maker and tea. Brett and Cindy not only provide distilled water but also water bottles. The location of the studio was perfect for our visit. Aside from a visit to Mt. Lemmon we were never more than fifteen minutes from anything. Whole Foods is around the corner (with a nice wine selection) and Cindy can also recommend another organic store in short distance. When we wanted to visit a few contemporary art galleries in Tucson Cindy and Brett were ready with suggestions and accompanied us to several. Cindy and Brett are truly stellar Airbnb hosts and we look forward to visiting them again the next time we're in Tucson. Don't hesitate, book early. There's a reason this is a popular spot to stay.
We had a wonderful stay at the studio owned by Cynthia. Great location, great neighborhood, and the accommodations were superb. We even thought about adding an extra day.....
Cynthia and company were excellent guests. Communication, cleanliness and observance of house rules were top notch. She is welcome anytime.
Cynthia and her family are awesome! I like them a lot, because they are very friendly, pleasant, easygoing, kindhearted and a long list of many positive characters. They left my place in an unbelievably clean condition!
I highly recommend them!
Our guests Cindy and Brett and their two well behaved dogs were great. The guesthouse was clean and in order and they had a good time there.
Cynthia and her family were great guests. Easy Check in/Check out, and they left the place very clean. We would recommend them if they are traveling through your area.
