Fred and his partner Carla stayed in my apartment at the end of 2012 for 6 weeks. It was a pleasure meeting them both and reassuring to know that my apartment would be so well looked after and enjoyed. Fred was incredibly flexible and helpful in the busy leadup before I left to go overseas for 2 months. I would thoroughly recommend Fred and Carla to any future Airbnb hosts.
Frederik and Carla satyed at my place recently. They were great guests, very quiet and considerate.
Frederik and Carla are a lovely quiet couple. They communicated their needs well and we enjoyed their company.Frederik and Carla were punctual both with arrival and departure times and most respectful of us and our home. It was great to see them enjoying
the Australian Fauna in the local area such as kangaroos and dolphins. The room was left very clean and tidy . We would not hesitate to recommend them as guests to anyone and would be pleased to have them stay again.
After Fred and his girlfriend left, a cleaning person
reported that my dryer did not work well. I contacted Airbnb regarding the
issue and then asked to release Fred’s deposit a week later. There was a new
guest and it took a week to investigate the issue. Fred felt a week as a “lengthy” period.
I hope my comments on Fred’s review of the apartment are
helpful to those who are interested in renting my apartment.
1. The apartment rental price mainly depends on the location
as the name of my listing suggests (10 minute-walk to Sydney CBD). Comparing my
apartment with apartments in Surry Hills is very misleading. My apartment is
located on the border of Sydney CBD. The distances to Museum Station and
Central Station are 384m and 884m respectively. Redfern Station in Surry Hills
is very far, 2.5km. I consider access to common facilities in the building
including swimming pool and gym as a complementary feature. Swimming pool and Jacuzzi
will reopen after a renovation. The gym is much bigger than a gym in a typical
hotel. It is smaller than a professional gym center. To my best knowledge, all equipment
2. My apartment has good natural light. It has two
wall-to-wall windows in the living room as the photo exactly describes the
living room. It was taken only with natural light. There
are two parking lanes and two-way traffic street in addition to two pedestrian
roads between my apartment building and the building across the street. So the
other building does not block any natural light.
3. Flowers were put in the living room a few days before Fred’s
check-in. I contacted Fred regarding the flowers upon his check-in. It was
unfortunate that the flowers did not look good at that time.
4. I put some food, such as sauce, butter spread and milk,
in the fridge for guests’ convenience. I will remove them if guests prefer an

person since I started renting in October 2012. I will make sure to check that no
dirt is left after cleaning.
6. During Fred’s stay, there was filming right in front of
the building for a day (Hugh Jackman’s new movie Wolverine, Japanese street
scene). I notified Fred about that in advance and also checked with him after
that if it caused any inconvenience. He described to me that it was a lot of
fun to watch. I hope this made his experience with the apartment more positive.
