It was a good experience. Rooms are spacious and support staff is very helpful.
This host is a hotel.
Room where I stayed, was a different room from the photo.
Reaction to the message is slow.
I could not change the date. And, I could not even negotiate cancellation of the reservation.
I recommend that you go directly.
than using the airbnb,
You, stay in 1500Rs following cheaper.
It was a wonderful experience. I really enjoyed the ambience and space in the room. Their service staff was very helpful and I really loved the kitchen service.
Locality is Paharganj which is close to old delhi(jama masjid) which is a delight for foodies. I really liked its proximity to old delhi for my dinner. Its a bit noisy outside which you always expect in old delhi but cozy and comfortable inside the room.
Nitesh is a very informative and always available by phone for any request. I enjoyed my stay and I recommend this listing for any guests.
First I'd like to preface my review of this place by saying that my experience with airbnb overall has been largely amazing (you can read my other reviews as reference). However, this place fell far short of par. I hate giving poor reviews, but in this case it can not be helped, and I hope it informs any future potential guest's decision making process.
1. The pictures of the rooms are false advertising. If you're interested in staying here please do yourself a favor and (website hidden) Anoop hotel, Delhi, parah ganj. This will show you more accurate photos of the establishment (trip advisor). The photos that are displayed on Airbnb, however, likely belong to a hotel that is a five minute walk up the road (main bazaar). If you like these pictures you should stay there. At Anoop it's less than clean, adjacent to a noisy street (great for shopping), and room maintenance seems to be not at thing. Only positive is location- being a short 5 to 10 min walk to NDLS train station.
2. There is a travel agent on the ground floor of the hotel, in the lobby. He tried to convince me to take a tour of the Golden triangle for $690 (a feat I accomplished on my own for a 1/3 of the cost- and I wasn't being frugal), and when I wasn't interested he became pushy and tried to be intimidating to close the deal. Not only that, but he also tried to goad me into paying extra for a taxi tour of the city (even though I knew the standard fare of $20USD). He even went as far as telling me I couldn't get to Agra on a Friday because he wanted me to hire a day trip car for $70 USD, instead. Magically (read: (website hidden) search train Delhi to Agra) I somehow managed to make it there on a Friday morning despite his best attempts at misdirection. I'd say if you choose to go with this hotel ignore him completely and take a auto rickshaw/train/bus instead.
3. This hotel does have an amazing roof top lounge/restaurant. It's open 24 hrs, the staff are lovely, and the food is good enough. The lounge furniture is very worn, but it adds to the ambiance making dinner or chilling out with a good book enjoyable. One should note that this restaurant isn't for exclusive use by hotel patrons-- that is, you can enjoy this without staying at Anoop. Additionally all the other hotel staff were kind and accommodating as well.
Overall, if you want your money's worth go somewhere else. $22USD/night is paying far too much for this Hotel, and you can likely find of something of better value for you money elsewhere.
Very Decent place to stay!
The hotel ist situated on a very busy road. The room to the main road are very noisy. All the other rooms have no windows.
The promised pick up from the airport did not work. The hotel was not apologizing for that at all.
The breakfast was OK but the service was vey slow.
The Travelmanager Mr. Kamal was very helpful.
