I love traveling, reading, interior decorating and enjoy meeting people.
We are family of 5 and the house was everything we were hoping for quiet, clean and very comfortable. Location was near the beach, groceries and close to downtown restaurants. Quentin was very helpful and the extra thought they put into what their quests may need was greatly appreciated. We would definitely return to this home away from home.
Great location for a Miami area stay. Accommodations were just as listed and more. Easy access instructions, left us free for the afternoon and evening. Plenty of things to see and beaches to visit. The only downfall was not being able to stay longer. Thanks
Very cool view out of the giant window. Lovely to wake up to. Quiet and private.
We loved this place so much, by the second day we checked AirBnB to see if we could extend it a day; a few quick texts (our hosts graciously rescheduled housecleaning), and it was a done deal! This was one of the best vacation bases I've ever had.
Gorgeous view (the entire place is SILVER in early morning light), the creek access is for all intents and purposes private (neighbors' fences/opposite bank/creek bend are natural boundaries), and the open lofted setup makes it intimate and woodsy while still being modern and comfortable. There's just enough decoration to add character (the movable privacy screen is a nice touch) without the worrying sensation that you'll break a museum piece.
Cynthia has literally thought of everything you haven't--matches, roasting skewer, fluffy blankets, hairdryer, candles, washer/dryer, all types of soaps. Even cooking fairly extensively, you'll only need the food itself and firewood, maybe a couple of cooking staples...the kitchen is very well stocked.
It's a reasonably close drive to a town with a full gas station/supermarket/restaurants, and there's a small convenience store even closer if you're feeling lazy. Our original goal was Big Basin, but there's plenty of other parks nearby too.
House rules/check in & out are short, reasonable, and clearly posted.
And for all you techy types, the internet connection is exceptional--you shouldn't need it much, but on the off chance you do, it's awesome.
We'll definitely look this place up again when we're back in the area!
The cabin is spacious and comfortable. We especially love the little stream running in the backyard. Is been a wonderful two days for us.
Cabin was great! Quentin and Cynthia seemed to be attentive although we never needed them on our 3 night stay. Peaceful little place and we loved the layout/look of the cabin!
We had a great four night stay at Quentin's house before embarking on our cruise and very much recommend his place. Very comfortable to come home to. Large lovely light filled room, king bed, clean, peaceful, private bath, mini fridge, tv. We slept very well! Very easy walk to the Hollywood Blvd strip, and a longer stretch to the beach, but doable. There's also the frequent Hollywood trolley which will take you from the strip to the beach and back. Since it was the holidays, there were no cars to be rented for any reasonable cost so we rented bikes for two days at the beach from New Age Cycles (recommend). We even biked up to Las Olas area (NOT a nice ride through airport construction) but was beautiful bicycling through the canal area with all the nice homes and sailboats in the evening light and breeze. Anyway, thank you Quentin for hosting our visit!
We felt very comfortable in the house. We especially liked that you could already enjoy the garden in the morning until the evening. Quentin was a nice host.
cozy, private, and clean. we had a perfect stay with the Brown's. their place was close to downtown Hollywood and perfectly situated between Ft. Lauderdale and Miami which made it easy to make day trips to either beach.
What a lovely experience!!!
The place is definitely a joy and as you see on the pictures!!!
Definitely an awesome place to stay while in Miami!
Thank you Quentin and Cynthia, we'll see you guys soon...
