I'm a Brooklyn-born horticultural designer, living with my wife of 37 years, bouncing back and forth between NYC and the Catskill mountains. Love fishing, books, travel, gardening and cooking. Happy to meet new people from all over the world.

Our experience on Sackett Street with the Flatows was good. We like the location and the accommodations are very comfortable.
Great place to stay in an adorable Brooklyn neighborhood. It's conveniently located 2 blocks from the subway, so you have access to all of NYC by train, but the benefit of being in a quiet oasis in Cobble Hill. The place is on a cute tree lined street, located in the basement of a brownstone. The apartment is spacious and cozy, all amenities were great, and having Paul and his wife there was a really nice touch. They were super responsive and so kind, offering recommendations in the neighborhood and answering any questions.
Thanks Natalie. Come back anytime! We'd love to have you!
Wonderful spot in a great Brooklyn neighborhood! The apartment was clean, comfortable and convenient to everything we wanted. Paul and Debra were welcoming and flexible in working with us. Enjoyed our stay very much and hope to be back!
Thanks Meredith. It was our pleasure hosting you and your folks. We welcome you to stay with us any time!
Paul and his wife hosted our mother in law and she said everything was great! They were communicative and would recommend again.
Thank you Alicia. Your mom-n-law is welcome to stay with us any time she comes back to NYC. She was a great guest!
Debra and Paul made us feel welcome when we arrived and for our entire stay. The accommodations were exactly what we expected - very clean and roomy with a great location - close to many places to eat/drink/shop. We'd go back. We walked to the 911 memorial with no problem. Highly recommend.
Greg thank you for your recommendation! It was a pleasure hosting you and family. Come back any time.
Paul & Debra were lovely and so is the space. The entire basement is the Bnb and is much larger than many NYC apartments, or expensive hotel rooms in midtown for that matter. It's a great neighborhood with many, many restaurants and bars. Now with the completion of Brooklyn Bridge Park, there is almost no need to head into NYC, but very convenient if you are. I'm planning to take my teenage girls back with me next time because with the 2 bedrooms, there is plenty of space for three.
Thank you for the great review and we appreciate your feedback!
Paul and Debra were great hosts.
They made us feel very welcome and went out of their way to accommodate us. Boerum/Cobble Hill is a great neighborhood with a wide variety of restaurants, bars and shops and has quick access to Manhattan via the subway. The apartment itself is very spacious, clean, very comfortable and quiet.
I would not hesitate to recommend this apartment to anyone planning on visiting New York and thanks again to Paul and Debra for being great hosts.
Thank you Manus for your wonderful review!
Paul and Debra were very kind and caring hosts. The room they offer is very comfortable and spacious. It is located in an amazing neighborhood surrounded by great restaurants and a very short walk to the subway station.
After a long day of travel, the cold beer in the fridge was very welcome as part of the reception Debra gave me. She also told me about the area and advised me a favorite local restaurant, of which there are a lot of in a predominantly family oriented neighborhood, which has the atmosphere of a village. Because I had a conference to attend in Manhattan, which is reached easily by the Subway close by, I was not in much during the day and did not use their pleasant garden. Returning each day I felt very safe and had a good night's sleep in a quite neighborhood. The hospitality of Debra and Paul was informative without becoming intrusive. They were available if I needed them.
Large, spacious rooms right in the heart of the Carroll Gardens/Cobble Hill district with a very nice garden and pleasant, helpful hosts.
