Our family of five just spent 4 days at Arian's exceptional apartment on Ausias Marc and Arian was an unbelievable host. He stayed in constant contact with us prior to our arrival and was extremely flexible with us as our train into Barcelona was delayed (even though he had other plans). He personally met us at his apartments, showed us all the options and even helped with our bags. He was also kind enough to provide some drinks, wine and snacks as he knew we had not had a chance to eat by the time we had arrived. While we were there, Arian kept checking in to see if we needed anything. All in all, Arian was a very gracious host.
The apartment itself is very much as described and has all the amenities that you could need for your stay. The rooms and bedrooms were clean and well maintained and the kitchen was fully stocked with plates, utensils and cooking items. We were there in the middle of July and the AC worked great. One thing to note, while the elevator works, it only goes to the third floor which leaves on flight of stairs to climb. Not a huge issue but thought it should be mentioned.
From a location perspective, the apartments are within a very easy 10 to 15 minute walk to the Gothic quarter, La Ramblas and the main square. The street is extremely quiet on the weekend but gets a bit more active during the week. In addition, there is a fully stocked supermarket across the street that was a great amenity.
As an extra bonus, Arian has some tortoise pets that live on the deck outside of the apartments. While there was no expectation for us to take care of the tortoises, our kids absolutely loved grabbing veggies for feeding times and "adopting" them for the weekend.
As some people have mentioned, the location is actually two separate apartments connected by the deck. We knew this going into our stay but I could see where this could be a bit unsettling if you needed to put children in a separate apartment. Our older two children (12 and 10) loved the independence and we had no issues.
We would definitely rebook with Arian if we are back in Barcelona. We had a great stay.
VEry attentive and welcoming host. Nothing was left out, and the greatest effort was made to accomodate my every need. Probably the most comprehensive check in I've ever had.
Warmful welcome, basket with fruits and cookies, cold softdrinks in the fridge, tabs for the coffiemachine... informations about restaurants in the neighbourhood... we felt really welcomed.
Lets start with this: if we come back to Barca, we will try to get the Platinum apartment again or any other listing Arian has. Arian is an amazingly warm host who will make you feel taken care of. We enjoyed 7 days at the Platinum apartment which had great amenities for a family of six, incl a three-year-old daughter and three grandmothers. The rooms are exactly like portrayed, have good beds, ac and nice balconies. The kitchen is actually nicer than the fluorescent lighting give it credit for in the photos. We used the washing machine and the dryer and they worked perfectly fine. Bathrooms are good as well. Right across the street you'll find a cafe that serves good coffee, a Carrefour Express and there's actually a cash machine right in the building. The trip ended with Arian wanting a group photo and a gift to my daughter (a nice sunbathing towel poncho and a little sheep doll).
The apartment was lovely, the beds were comfortable and the air conditioning was a relief from the heat outside. Arian was very helpful from the moment we arrived and helped us get a cab to the airport and was very accommodating with our late check out. Great stay!
Arian was a lovely host who was both very helpful and welcoming to his home. The spaces that we rented were beautiful and the listings hardly do them justice. Located in a great area that is suitable for anyone. Overall our experience was truly enhanced by our opportunity to stay at these flats. Just absolutely beautiful.
Arian was very helpful and a great host. Very accommodating and helped us in any way he could. Only good things to say about our stay.
This place is amazing! Wonderfully designed, incredibly nice, a beautiful view, very sweet turtles, and an overall perfect place.
Communication with Arian was great and he is very nice.
The neighborhood, L'Eixample, is very residential, very nice, and perfectly situated in walking distance to La Sagrada Familia, Plaza Catalunya, El Born (amazing food), El Gotico, Las Ramblas and pretty much anything else you'd want to see in Barcelona.
One thing I loved about the location is that is situated just outside of all of the noise and tourist activity. It's very easy to dip into those areas, but also to get out and into a serene and beautiful neighborhood.
I highly recommend staying here.
