I'm from Singapore and am currently working in management consulting.
Good food is my weakness. The love and constant search for good food is one of the defining aspects of our national culture. We are a bunch who are willing to travel to places far removed, wait in absurdly long queues just to satisfy our gastronomical urges. (random note: waiting in queues is apparently another national pastime and this is separate from the food part; we like to queue for freebies and other non-food stuff too. But I don't fancy crowds nor queues).
I love to travel; I've traveled most of Asia - China, Thailand, Korea, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, etc. (naturally), spent a semester in Canada, traveled New York and some east coast cities, and I'm looking to visit more new places (as much as time and money allow)!
Although I usually have a limited budget, I like to have some degree of comfort (after all I'm on vacation) and privacy. Free wifi is a necessity, breakfast is a bonus, and coming from the tropics, I very much value air conditioning (unless it's winter). I prefer to travel at a leisurely pace, but sometimes there's just too little time and too many things to see!
