I am an avid traveler and like to "live as the locals do" in every city that I visit. I often travel with my husband and two children. We are a typical young family - we are active and like to walk, bike, eat local/organic/vegetarian. We like art, film, music, design, architecture and exploring the many fascinating cultures of the world. We are also pedestrians at heart and try to walk or take public transportation.
Our style of traveling is staying in an apartment rather than a hotel so we can walk the streets, get to know the local merchants and take in life, not so much as a tourist.
My number one rule about traveling is, regardless of the type of accommodation, it must be CLEAN. It can be old, small, cozy or unusual but it has to be clean. Everything else can be forgiven.
We all love to read BOOKS, not on a digital reader. Often it is hard because we have less clothes and more books in our luggage and it can be heavy. It's what we consider relaxation whether sitting by the beach or pool.
Our favorite travel destinations are the Big Island of Hawaii, Paris, Tokyo and Japan in general, the Swedish archipelago and San Francisco, California.
Our life motto: Live Love Laugh and eat good food in the process!
