Th place was perfect for a family of 4. My boys loved having their own beds in the second bedroom. It was not awkward at all to walk through the room. It was great to have a 2nd full bathroom. The apartment was exactly how pictured- I loved the size.
The neighborhood was fabulous. We loved taking walks to the marina and there was a great view of the bridge. The palace of fine arts was beautiful and we loved walking by it each day. It was a short walk to chestnut street with lots of cute shops and cafes. We took an uber everywhere else we wanted to go and it was easy and inexpensive. We will definitely stay here again next time in sf.
Great location - easy to walk to the marina district shops and to the bay. Quiet neighborhood. The apartment is huge with a good sized kitchen, large dining room and living room. We had two adults and two teens with lots of room to spread out. The building is older (I think) so some of the rooms are a bit quirky, but in a fun way. Awesome pink 50's style bathroom.
Paul was prompt in answering questions and very easy to deal with. He quickly accommodated our request for a late checkout and supplied us with coffee and wine.
If you don't have a car, this area is a bit of a walk to downtown attractions (Fisherman's Wharf, etc). We relied on Uber with no problems.
Be sure to rent bikes and go for a ride over the Golden Gate Bridge.
I'd highly recommend Marina apartment by Paul Roache. I stayed here with my mother and brother in March 2015. Paul had everything in order for us when we arrived. It is a super location. We could walk to the seafront everyday. At night we walked to local bars and restaurants and felt extremely safe doing so. The apartment has a real character about it, where we could relax and enjoy our time in San Francisco.
Place was as advertised and Paul made it a very easy process.
Paul's place was great! A beautiful location in the Marina area and very close to the Palace of the Fine Arts - which we greatly enjoyed at night.
The place is nicely furnished and has plenty of space! Everything worked well, the instructions were easy to follow. Would stay here again!
Paul is a great hoster, easy to reach and very helpful. The apartment was amaizing, wide rooms, well equipped kitchen, washing and drying machine available in the apartment. Having two full bathrooms came in handy, and the best part is that one of them have the toilet and the shower in diferents rooms.
The neiborhood was great, a residential area, calm and close to the Golden Gate Bridge.
The only downside about the apartment Is that the internet is only available in the front part of the house, but this inconvinience wouldn't stop us from staying there once again.
We had a great great time staying at Paul's in San Francisco, especially considering it was out first time using Airbnb. Everything was very well organized and clean. Paul was responsive and professional and made the experience easy and seamless. We would definitely return.
The apartment was great and it was in a beautiful area. Having the parking space available was very convenient. The place is cozy and everyone fit perfectly. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting the city.
The appt was in a perfect position for me to keep working and the family to go out to play. We all worked out how to negotiate the buses and trams with a clipper card and loved the neighbourhood and the walks to the bridge
