This was our first Airbnb experience and it went great! April was very helpful getting us all set up and showing us around. The space was what we expected, although just a tad bit dusty but nothing that bothered us. The pool was great! We had some issues getting connected to the wifi in the room due to the previous guest changing the password, and April offered us an extra night to stay because of the inconvenience. I fixed the password settings so this will be all good for future guests!
I’ll start with my evaluation of the building. It was great. 24hr security, valet available Monday – Saturday, great pool, multiple elevators, and walking distance to downtown bars, clubs, restaurants and parks. The parking garage was just a little hard to get used to (tight spiral drive-up and you’ll never snag the same spot twice so it took a little bit of brain power).
Overall, the apartment was fine. High ceilings, a large living area, granite counter-tops, garden tub and artwork were just some of the highlights. There were also clean sheets, two bottles of wine and a case of water waiting for me upon my arrival.
The space itself was extremely cluttered and there were no empty drawers (I mean, EVERY cubby, drawer, closet, even the shower was packed full of what looked like years of random, accumulated items). For a short-term stay, this may not have been bothersome, but for a long-term stay, the clutter was uncomfortable – especially for someone who is accustomed to travelling and staying in clean, uncluttered hotel rooms.
Apart from the cabinets, the kitchen was clean and dishes were available for use. I did, however, have to dispose of old food items and clean out one kitchen cabinet for my personal use.
The mattress was very thin and only came with two, flat pillows that were made for decoration, not sleeping. After trying it out for two nights, I decided to purchase actual pillows and a foam mattress topper.
The washer/dryer room was cluttered and old laundry left behind made the whole room unusable.
The gym situation was not sorted out upon my arrival. I had access to a 7-day free pass, but in the end, it wasn't worth the effort as the gym was often not open during the hours I would have used it (early morning, late night).
The parking situation seemed sketchy – I had to obtain a new pass every 2-3 days (which was cumbersome for everyone involved so as you can image, there were a few days where I did not have a valid pass). On the plus side, four and a half weeks into my stay, I was given a parking pass to place in my car which worked perfectly.
It was apparent upon check-in that the apartment complex had not approved the sublet. Too bad there was a 30-day cancellation policy that required me to pay for 30-days anyway…Too add insult to injury, the husband of the friend (April) of the girl (Shantell) who was renting out the place, jacked up the price at the last minute. The whole thing was very unprofessional, unorganized and in retrospect, I should have just stayed at a hotel for the same price – in fact, I may have saved money with my corporate rate.
Overall, although overpriced, the location itself makes this place great for a short term stay. I would not recommend it for a long term stay.
Really great place. The host was awesome and had waters and wine for me when I stayed there. The location was in the middle of everything. Will definitely stay here again!

April apparently had some issues with the original place that I had booked, but she quickly put me up in her boyfriend's place that was equally as nice. Great view of the city with modern, sleek design throughout the apartment. They even made sure to have things in the fridge for breakfast.
I was very comfortable and would definitely stay with April again.

We loved our stay. There was more then enough room for my my kids, husband and I.. I got to visit my family while I was in town and that was great as well. Really cool place. And April was such a great host..
April's appartment is just as nice as advertised, clean, great location, and April was very helpful and responsive. I would recommend this appartment to anyone.
April was a really great host! She was quick to reply to text messages, and even met me at the apartment at midnight the night I arrived to make sure I got settled. Her place is in a great location, with Jimmy Johns just around the corner, and a handful of bars and restaurants a very short walk away.
Some of the photos and amenities were a bit misleading. I believe this has to do with the new building management, and is not really April's fault. The rooftop pool was nice, but the hot tub did not work and was ice cold. The gym in the building is for residents only, so you will not have access as an Air Bnb guest.
I enjoyed my stay! Thanks, April!
April was a great guest, she was very open and communicated well for this last minute reservation. April left the place clean. I would host her again.
Was great hosting April! Very clean and courteous guest!
April was awesome! She was very clean and courteous and even vacuumed before she left!
