I am a full time musician and my wife is a filmmaker. We are a very creative couple and love New York City.
It was a short stay for me and my bf for holiday getaway. All I can say about the apartment was simple, neat, and clean. Located in a perfect location, lots of nice cafes, bars, and close to downtown. Unfortunately there was no elevator so you need to exercise a little bit to go upstairs. haha.. Other than that its all perfect! Thanks again Joe for letting us to stay.
We'd definitely stay here again and recommend this place to others looking for a reasonable place to stay in NYC. The apartment is larger and more charming than the pictures give credit. The neighborhood is great--a ton of fun restaurants and bars at all price points. It is walking distance from two different metro lines making visiting the sights a breeze. The apartment was insulated from street noise as advertised but had a loud radiator. Since we like white noise to sleep, we didn't find the radiator an issue (it made a constant "hissing" sound like running water.) Host was hospitable and easy to contact.

Joe and his place were great! Great communication and easy key exchange. He was super helpful and even left a list behind with great spots in the area to eat, drink, and play. The place itself was amazing. Tons of character and well organized, but most importantly clean! East village is loud and crazy, and it seems like there are always people out! BUT, the place is nice and quiet - never a problem sleeping! The area is great - always felt safe, and very accessible to nearby subway stops. Joe's place is definitely recommended!
Great guest. Prompt communicator. Welcome back anytime!
