Thanks for your review. Gaining entry to the building while I was hospitalized could have been better coordinated. I now have a neighbor that has volunteered to help tenants access the building to retrieve the key and her number will be provided although this has only rarely been an issue. The neighbors are happy to let in guests, so I’m not sure if “sneak in” is an appropriate way to describe how you entered the building. I also spoke with you so it would have been helpful if you voiced your concerns to me about any issues you were having, although a fire alarm is not something I could have prevented - I could have done something to compensate you :). I have stayed in numerous hotels and yes I have had to exit a building via the stairs to follow protocol. This is not something unique to my place.
I’m also very clear in my listing about the Tenderloin. This is likely why you chose to stay because this is reflected in the price of the unit. I do hope you enjoyed your stay in SF!
