Fantastic host! Great location and very nice room. Eugenia is very accommodating.
Eugenia is a great host. I greatly enjoyed staying at her cozy room. It's close to everything, stores, bus stops, stations, cafe, etc.
Small but cozy room, perfect for my short stay in NYC. Very close to both JFK (approximately $40/tax ride without traffic) and LaGuardia (approximately $15 Uber car ride without traffic). Eugenia was an accommodating host and had everything I could have needed (towels, wifi password, etc) ready for my arrival.
The room is indeed close to the airport, yet quiet. There is a public bus, or you can take a taxi for a short ride (less than $15 tip included). I had to attend events at the NY Hall of Science. This room was a good location for that. The walk to the subway station is 8-10 minutes, and it is only a few stops to the 111st station. There are several restaurants nearby, and also grocery shops on the way to/from the subway station. This is a mostly Hispanic area of Queens. Eugenia is a crafts artist, and it shows in her apartment. Lots of beautiful things there! The Wifi worked very well. I think I will stay here again when I need to go to the Hall of Science.
Hi there. Stayed two days in mid September 2014 at Eugenias place in beautiful multicultural and multiculinary Jackson Heights. From the beginning of the communication to the end of my stay I felt really welcome and Lizas kindness and interesting conversation made me overcome my jetlag right away. My need for privacy was always respected and on the other hand Liza was always available if I needed anything. From advice on the neighborhood to a cup of coffee ;-) Thanks for making the start of my NYC stay so great. The room is perfectly as described.
A cosy room with welcoming host. Placed in interesting, safe neighbourhood.
Eugenia is a great person and a great host. She was extremely friendly and welcoming. Her house is very well decorated and the room she offered was very clean and comfy.
Eugenia was great! Everything was as stated in the profile and all the prior reviews were right on. Eugenias was very were comfortable, clean and conveinent. Eugenia was very helpful with all local information with transportation and services.
The another great thing about Eugenias home is the neighborhood. The neighborhood is a real New York urban neighborhood. Being somewhat of a tourist it was a great experience for me to be right in the middle of how people live their day to day lives. I was really able to get a good feel for how the people in the area are and live their lives.
Eugenia was very hospitable from my initial contact,to my stay to even after i had checked out. Eugenia was not just putting on a happy face and providing a service ,I believe she truly does enjoy what she is doing on Airbnb.
Great stay. Last minute booking and Eugenia hooked me up even though I didn't check in until late. She's very sweet and accommodating. Close to subway which is great.
I stayed in a room in Eugenia's apartment for five nights and have no complaints. Eugenia was a warm and welcoming host who sketched a map of the neighborhood for me and provided an excellent cup of coffee each morning. The bedroom was small but adequately equipped - and decorated with a wonderful woven tapestry created by Eugenia, who is an artist. Jackson Heights is an interesting, vibrant neighborhood and there are stores and excellent ethnic restaurants as within a short walk of Eugenia's quiet block. The environs seemed very safe - I have family members who live several blocks away, and I had no qualms about walking from their apartment to Eugenia's by myself at 1 AM.
