Great stay, no issues with picking up the keys at a nearby location. The loft was nice and and perfect I'd say for up to 2 people. Very comfortable bed and nice living room. Great neighborhood with lots of nice restaurants and bars nearby, the location couldn't be any better!
Maru was a great host! We loved the apartment, it was very spacious for us (2 people). Her projector was a wonderful discovery for us. The area is also very cool. Lots of fun bars and restaurants. Will definitely recommend booking if your looking for a fun stay in bushwick.
Maru's apartment is exactly as pictured. It's in an interesting part of Brooklyn with loads of cafes, bars etc nearby. And is super close to the L train which takes you right into Manhattan. We really enjoyed out stay!
Brilliant apartment exactly as described if not more spacious in reality! Maru extremely easy to deal with before and during my stay! Good location to links into manhattan and the local area to the apartment is also cool! Very good coffee shop 20 seconds from the apartment! Would definitely stay ahead if needed, the only bad part was there is no lift so walking up the stairs with a suitcase was difficult!
Maru's place was lovely, comfortable, and checking in and out was a breeze. Everything I could have wanted or needed, and beyond that, a really great deal! Would definitely stay again.
We stayed in the apartment for 2 weeks, so we got to know it pretty well. First of all I want to say that we had an issue with the apartment (something broke) which Maru handled with great integrity (and didnt take advantage of the situation like you could imagine some owner might) and I want to thank her for it . I think integrity is key in this kind of short term rentals.
Maru welcomed us outside the apartment, and was very helpful in rescheduling the time as we had a delay in our arrival.
Like people said before, the apartment is close to the L line, and basically you get to times square in 30 minutes. we found that it was very easy to use it as a "home base" to explore Manhattan but also Brooklyn which had a lot to offer.
The apartment had everything we needed, kitchen stuff, some basic cooking items etc..The bedroom was very comfy overall and so i'd say that value for money this apartment is great.
Do take note, the apartment isnt very big, but certainly enough to relax (watch netflix) or dine.
There were some issues with the heating which was leaking (and used a container to control the leak), In essence, we had the container got full once/twice a day. hopefully this would be fixed soon and wont be an issue.
I also read in a previous review that the apartment was cold, I can say from our experience this was not true (and it was cold outside when we stayed). Yes when we just entered it the apartment was a little "chili" but this was due to all the windows being completely open. once we closed some of the apartment heated up and was quite fast very pleasant.
We had a lovely time in Maru's apartment in Bushwick. She was great in getting back to us with everything we needed to know on a timely manner. The flat is very light and the bed super comfortable.
So enjoyed staying at Maru's loft apartment in Brooklyn!! Very cozy and clean with a cool projector/Netflix set-up and amazing views of Manhattan from the roof! She helped guide us to some great places to eat! Plus, the apartment is very close to several unique coffee shops and just a few blocks from both the J and M trains with easy access to the City. Would definitely recommend this spot!
Maru was a very welcoming and communicative host during our stay this December. We had made a different reservation on AirBnB that was cancelled hours before we were set to arrive, and Maru was fantastic about accommodating us at the last minute. She gave us easy to follow instructions, left the apartment very well stocked, and was readily available to answer questions. We also really appreciated having both a washer/dryer and dishwasher in the apartment. That being said - I feel that this apartment is overpriced for the amount of space, the location, and the general condition of the apartment. While it is very functional and homey, the space was very crammed for 4 guests (I would recommend no more than 2 for this apartment). The futon is also not very comfortable, and some of the other furniture isn't in great condition (a heavy door kept falling off the kitchen cabinet, nails were sticking out of the futon base, several light bulbs were out but hadn't been changed). Also, guests should note that the walls of the apartment are apartment are pretty thin; there was a very audible Christmas Eve party going on below us until 2am and then a few nights later I think someone was refinishing their floors below us until about 11pm.
We had a great experience with Maru. She quickly responded to my inquiry and made herself available should we require anything for the duration of our stay.
The apartment was clean, comfortable and as advertised. Absolutely no complaints! I would recommend it to any out of towners looking to stay in Bushwick.
Maru fue una muy buena huesped, aunque hubo un poco de problema para coordinar la entrega de llaves Maru fue muy linda, y definitivamente es super bienvenida de nuevo.
