Our family of five enjoyed our one night stay with Chris, Aileen and Bella (with niece Treia as a bonus). Our daughter and Treia played together until late after our hosts generously included us in their dinner. The old schoolhouse has been completely renovated making it a modern lodging (high ceilings, large ensuite bathroom in one room, etc) with old touches (exposed beams, etc). We enjoyed the conversation and hospitality. We would stay here again.
The old schoolhouse is a really great place to stay. Aileen, Chris, and baby Bella are great hosts - there when we needed them and very discreet as well. I would recommend this house wholeheartedly.
A great couple, amazing place and wonderful hosts! Highly recommended! Thanks so much for a great stay.
We had a great time at Chris and Aileens place. It's a wonderful place to stay. We definitely recommend this phantastic place.
As hosts they both made us feel comfortable and welcome within a few minutes.
Absolutely wonderful. An amazing space--truly beautiful and comfortable. We were greeted with conversation, tea, and cookies and given free reign of the kitchen, living room, and two bedrooms.
The appliances are all brand spanking new (I got a great wash for my clothes) and I got the best sleep of my trip here. A+ accomodations: the sort of place that makes AirBnB tops.
Staying at Chris's place was a pure delight! The house is gorgeous, the room looks just as pretty as it does on the photos, the bathroom includes everything you need, but above all, it's Chris and his wife Aileen that made my short stay truly unforgettable! They are the sweetest people I've ever met abroad, very friendly and warm, always ready to help.
A few hours after my arrival I already felt at home in Draperstown, all thanks to Chris and Aileen. If I ever get the chance to pass nearby, I will definitely try to stay at their beautiful house once again.
Great hosts, really went out of their way to accomadate us. The old school is in the foothills of the sperrins and a fantasic setting.
Me and my fiancee had wonderful stay at Old School House. We only got to meet Chris and he was very nice and generous. House itself is stunning and its in a beautiful location. I would highly recomend staying with this couple and I am sure we will be back some time soon.
We had an amazing stay in Draperstown! Chris and Aileen are both so incredibly kind and generous. We wanted to rent for 5 but needed an extra bed so they allowed us to rent up their entire home! The house was extremely nice and so cute! They have created such a nice home from the old school house. The house is in a great location if you want to tour around Northern Ireland and keep a central home base. We spend three nights and used our days to do trips to Giants Causeway, Londonderry, and a few coastal drives. I would definitely recommend staying with these two, they are a down to earth couple and are extremely easy to get along with. The extra two rooms are down a separate hallway also which allows for good privacy if renting a room or two from them!
Chris & Aileen's impressive house in the foothills of the beautiful Sperrin mountains is an ideal base for car expeditions to every part of Ulster, and they were very welcoming and engaging hosts – which I particularly appreciated as I was travelling on my own. My 3-night stay with them was my first use of airbnb, and if their hospitality is typical, this will be my preferred way of travelling in future!
Chris and Aileen were wonderful. I loved having them in my home. They were respectful, polite and courteous. It was as if we were old friends just having a visit and seeing each other again. It was sad seeing them go and I look forward to possibly meeting up with them in their neck of the woods.
Chris and Aileen were absolutely wonderful guests. They stayed with us for a night while exploring the Southwest, and we would have loved to get to know them more. We would highly recommend them as people and guests.
I reserve the term and use it sparingly, but Colin and Aileen were brilliant guests! We ate, knocked back a few like old friends and stayed up talking until the wee hours of the morning. Wonderfully interesting, fun and personable. Definitely host this splendid couple.
