Darrell and I are from Northern California. We visited La Paz after staying in Cabo and fell in love with La Paz. and it's people. We love the outdoors; swimming, running, kayaking, biking, hiking and playing with out three dogs.

Extremely kind and generous hosts. I wasn't able to meet Leslie but her partner Darrel was so nice. A beautiful house, beautiful room, sweet dogs, and a to go breakfast made for me because of my early departure. Wish I could've stayed longer.
Darrell made us feel very welcome. He was a great host, full of great stories and fabulous breakfasts. The house is exquisite, spacious and filled with artwork, artifacts and a beautiful view of La Paz. Our room was fabulous, with a large deck and a bonus 4th story deck. Both had beautiful views of the city, Sea of Cortez and mountains. The house is well located, only a short walk from the Malecon and many other conveniences and buses were within easy walking distance. There was also a couple of wonderful restaurants only a block or two away. His dogs and birds are very sweet too. We were sorry not to have met Leslie, but happy she could be with her dad for the holidays. We highly recommend this airbnb.
What an excellent experience! Our beautiful rooftop room was bright & sunny with a HUGE patio facing the Bay of La Paz. The house was lovely & in a great & safe location. Far enough away from the noise, two blocks from the water & walkable to everything. Our hosts, Leslie & Darryl, were extremely friendly & informative & a joy to be around. The (4) dogs added a fun element to the house (my personal fav was Suavé the chihuahua - he has an amazing wardrobe & big personality). The breakfast was authentically Mexican with fresh fruit & great coffee to complement the chilaquiles. A great local restaurant called Rancho Viejo is a block away - filled with Mexicans & ex-pats alike. This was a GREAT AirBnB experience!
Staying at the Casa de La Paz was great! The house is beautiful and conveniently located just a few blocks away from the Malecon and about a 10-15 minute walk to the historic center. Everything was very clean and comfortable and the rooftop views were gorgeous. Breakfast each morning was incredible and one of my favorite parts of my stay. I didn't get to meet Leslie as she was out of town, but her husband Darrell was very welcoming and helpful, and their two dogs Maggie and Ultraviolet were the sweetest. Highly recommend!
We enjoyed staying at Casa De La Paz. It had a very authentic Mexican type of feel. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the outdoor terrace was fantastic! We didn't get to meet the hosts because they were out of town, but their friend Graciela took good care of us. We liked being very close to the Melecon and took a nice walk after dinner. Leslie was also very accommodating with arranging a tour to Isla Espiritu Santo through Fun Baja which I can't recommend enough. The snorkeling/beach experience was one of the best we've ever had. Would definitely stay here again!
Big, spacious room and bathroom with adjoining large patio. Very comfortable bed and great food. I rate it 5 stars out of 5.
So, so awesome. Leslie and Darrel were awesome! I came into town with 3 of my friends to go and swim with the whale sharks, and Leslie and Darrel were so accommodating! They helped us set up our tour, gave us some great recommendations on where to eat & go see, and they were a lot of fun to talk to. Was great to get to know them over the weekend, and they went above and beyond to help us enjoy our stay. Will definitely go back to visit...such an amazing place too!
Thanks Tim!! We would love to have you back. You made our days that much brighter!
My husband and I enjoyed Darrell & Leslie's B&B so much. I recommend it HIGHLY to anyone travelling to beautiful La Paz. Their house is beautiful. Our room had 2decks for sunset watching. Attention to every detail for our comfort was excellent! Thankyou so much Leslie & Darrell. We hope to see you again soon!
Thank you Mary! We will try to visit you in San Jose!
A good friend and I travelled to southern Baja for a week-long vacation and break from the cold and gray northern United States. I am so glad we found Casa de La Paz on airbnb - it was such a delightful place to stay. Leslie and Darrell were so kind - from making the most incredible breakfasts for us each day to connecting us to a company who took us snorkeling with sea lions off of Isla Espiritu. The house is just beautiful, and it's close to the water as well as the historic district (shopping!). Plus - who can resist a B&B with four fabulous dogs? :-) A lovely place to stay - thanks Leslie & Darrell!
You are welcome!! Come back and visit!!
Our new Friends Leslie and Darrell are the owners/operators of the most awesome bed and breakfast in Baja California Mexico. Their home is lovely and they and their babies (2 border collies (Ultra and Maggie) and little Suave (my second love) are so loving and cute. We stayed in the master bedroom and we had a view of the LA Paz bay just 2 houses away (a dream!!!!!). The breakfast we where served was made for a king. Leslie and Darrell made us feel like one of the family they welcomed us into their home and made us feel that we were part of the rich La Paz Mexican culture. We are planning to return to La Casa de La Paz our new home away from home very soon.
Thank you Leslie and Darrell (keep my our room ready) :-)

Just returned from a wonderful vacation in La Paz...What a exquisite B&B! Accommodations WONDERFUL! Hosts, Darrell and Leslie made a most delicious well presented breakfast -- original Mexican recipe, eggs, fresh squeezed OJ. and pastries and wonderful company. A return to La Paz and a visit with Darrell and Leslie is definitely on my list! Great to have new found FRIENDS in La Paz. Next visit will be longer! Luv U Leslie! Give hugs to Ultra & Maggie but kisses to Suave... see you in April!
I met Leslie and Darrell a few months ago when they were looking for a place to start a Bed and Breakfast here in La Paz.
I helped them to find this fantastic home and have been helping them turn it into an amazing B&B over the past month.
They are really energetic and full of great ideas and will make great hosts.
This weekend we took a kayaking trip from a nearby beach and explored the secluded bays and had a great time beach combing for beautiful shells and corals to decorate their garden.
I would recommend staying at Casa de La Paz and I know that Leslie and Darrell will take great care of any of their guests.
