HI I m Luca,
I am form Florence, Italy. I am a high-school teacher and I am a father of 2 fantastic girls!
We have been so happy to stay in Luca's place. He was a great hoster, helping us with good advice and renting us his two vintage bicycle!
It was very nice to know this city by bike, and to have typical Italian Christmas breakfast with Luca in the morning.
I recommend his place!
Luca offer's a nice room. However, the location is further out from the downtown area than I had first thought. The room itself was spacious and cozy, with the maps and brochures a nice added touch. While I didn't use it much, the shared bathroom seemed clean. If you're looking for a cheap room on the outskirts of Florence, this is a great place. However, if you're looking for a room in walking distance to downtown, this is not your place. There are bus and rail stops nearby, but we had a hard time locating them. All told, I'd still recommend staying here, just know the limitations of the location before doing so.
We stayed at Luca's house for two days, and he was absent almost all the time, so I can't say much about his personality. The room was clean and rather comfortable, but the kitchen - dirty. Luca refused our ask to call from the home telephone to book the tickets to Uffizi gallery, that was quiet surprisingly.
The room looks the same as shown in the picture. I would recommend this place to anyone. It is not in the heart of Florence but is definitely close enough to all the attractions. 15 minutes by bus to the city center. A very nice neighborhood to be at. Moreover, Luca is such a great host providing us with necessary information about florence. Good hospitality. Checking-in was without hassle. Overall, a nice and decent place to stay for a holiday.
Note: Take bus 1A to and fro city centre
Luca was a great host- really fun and helpful. We walked everywhere in Florence, but it was useful having the nearby bus to get to and from the central train station (SMN). The room is really big and spacious. I would highly recommend! Thanks Luca.
How beautiful Luca's house was! It was great to stay in such a beautiful and artistic house like Luca's, we had so much inspirations from there. Although it was hard for us to meet, Luca introduced us such a great places to hang in the city, we had lots of fun in the places that Luca suggested.
The area was really really nicely located - has a really nice bakery coffee shop 3mins and everyday market is about 5 mins walk from the house. Walking to Duomo took us bout 15mins, No.1 bus easily take us to the train station in one ride. I think if you need 2 mins walk to the city center from the house, Luca's is not a fantastic solution, but if you wanna feel Florence life and try to take a walk and likely to feel quiet homey atmosphere, Luca's is the best in Florence :) I will definately go back to Luca's on my next visit!
It's a nice and cozy room we stayed. Nice and quiet area. Luca is very nice, friendly and interesting man. He gave us some good recommendation about food and coffee. Definitely recommend.
We enjoyed our stay at Luca`s very much,he gave great advice on how to get around the city, where to eat, really nice guy,the room was comfortable for us,bathroom and kitchen clean.not too far from the centre.Grazie mille Luca.
Luca's house is in a good location, allowing us to use his bikes to roam around the city, which made our Florence stay very good.
He drew us maps suggesting the nice viewpoints of city, restuarants, Gelato corners.
Thanks for letting us stay in your place.
Lucca is helpful and very agreeable. we recommend his place .
he goes out of his way to make your stay pleasant.
