I finally got to use my passport just after I turned 35, and in the past five years I have visited 4 overseas countries (not a bad feat for an Australian). Joyfully married for over 15 years, I have two delightful children (currently aged 9 & 12) who also love to travel, but don't always get to join us on our trips.
What do I look for in a great overseas holiday? I want an authentic experience. Hotel rooms are not really appealing. I want to eat, play, cook, and live like a local during my visit. Both my husband and I are non-smokers and refuse to drink bad coffee (finding a great cafe is usually our first point of business on any holiday).
One of my favorite quotes is; "whether you think you can, or you can't; either way you are right". (Henry Ford). One motto I live by is; "let's find out!"
