I love traveling. It helps me to experience new things, meet new people and gain a better understanding of the world - and in particular, I enjoy learning from and about people who live outside the United States.
Favorite trip so far: 2006 World Cup trip. I traveled to several cities in Germany and a few in France; was able to see my favorite soccer team (Brazil) play; and met people from all over the world. It was an all-around great time.
When not traveling, I work as an advertising copywriter, write short fiction when I can, and run a small program that helps to expand the horizons and worldviews of middle and high school students. The program is called Project Expose, and we fulfill our mission by introducing the students to different professions, interests, skills, cultures, cuisines, philosophies and religions. With my traveling, I hope to learn some new things I can share with the kids.
Other bits about me: I’m a huge fan of cookies, soccer, basketball, art and stories (in any form). I grew up with sheep as pets. And my guiding philosophy is “Love. Learn. Create. Make a Difference.”
