The apartment is in an interesting neighbourhood in Kampala and was fine for our needs, with a nice view, Ronald was very helpful in organising taxis etc. However the internet did not work and we had to rummage around ourselves looking for sheets for one of the bedrooms and the sofa bed and one of the showers could have been cleaner (hair etc in the drain)
I stayed at the Trophy Room for 6 weeks and absolutely loved it. It is spacious, peaceful and the views of Kampala are outstanding. Everything you need is there - and it is isn't there, it can be arranged. It is a little walk from the main road, but the walk it pleasant, or bodas can easily be arranged also. I would highly recommend staying there.
Josh's place was cozy, hassle free and well organized for the foreign traveller. The room and bathroom were clean, quiet and comfortable. Getting to and from the apartment was easy. I used the services of Ronald the boda boda operator daily. He new the area well making my short stay worry free. Certainly would stay again if given the opportunity.
We enjoyed our stay at Josh's place though we didn't meet him in person. The apartment is really spacious and well equipped (the blender is great). The bedroom with the bathroom was also very nice. The detailed handbook gave us also a very good introduction to Kampala.
