I'm from Brooklyn, NY by way York, ME and love playing guitar and hanging out with my dog!
Zach's place was fantastic: spacious, comfortable, clean, equipped. It was perfect: close to the subway to get to Manhattan and super convenient to everything Williamsburg has to offer. It was cool: eclectic, with books, old vinyl albums, paintings, windows, great high def tv's, wifi, plants, decor, and plenty of space to hang out (two couches, a chair, and stools). Zach was an awesome host: easy to work with, spot on with communicating, laid back and responsive, accommodating and flexible, with lots of great ideas about what to do and see. Just an interesting and great guy. With Zach, your getting his home and he wants you to feel at home. I hope I get the chance to go back again. I would definitely stay at Zach's place.
Zach has to be one of the most coolest and easy going people I've met. He opened up his home, let us use everything in it as our own.
The apartment is so ridiculously close to the heart of Williamsburg you'll be able to get to everything and really enjoy Bedford Ave + Brooklyn. Its quite spacious given its location so close to the city, we really appreciated being able to stretch out our stuff after staying in hotels for the week prior. being able to use the laundry and dryer without having to leave the apartment was another plus.
Other positives are the good shower pressure, one of the most comfiest beds we've ever slept in, and fast internet.
He and his brother Jonny were also helpful and prompt with any queries that we had, you wont go wrong if you take this or any other place Zach would have in future.
Perfect location! Only a few blocks from the Bedford stop (L train) to take you right in to Manhattan. Williamsburg is THE perfect neighborhood (Can we say beer and food galore?) and very laid back. We have already decided to go back for more. It is very easy to pop over to Manhattan for some touristy fun, too! It isn't far from the East River Ferry, either, so take that for a beautiful NY view (only $4). We only had to take a cab once because of a downpour in a different area; otherwise, we used the subway and ferry every day because of their convenience/proximity!
Zachary was very friendly and accommodating. His apartment is the coolest--lots of eclectic music and books (a working record player that we used every day), two comfortable couches, and the MOST comfortable bed we've ever slept on. We will go back just for that bed. He was always available via text message or phone call, but we didn't need him for much. He had a long list ready for us of places to eat, and he even bought an iron and ironing board before we arrived at my request! We will definitely return!
We spent a great week in NY. The apartment ist perfectly located. Directly to the Bedford Avenue with its many shops, cafes and bars. From Zach's apartment it's five minutes to subway station and the L train takes you to Manhattan in 10 minutes. Zachary was very friendly and accommodating. He was always be reached by phone or sms and helped us with little problems. We can definitely imagine to come back.
Zachary & his friend were lovely guests. They took great care of the apartment and the communication was easy. We would love to have them back in Rio and we would certainly recommend them as airbnb guests!
I have known Zach for ages and he is a superb human being. Chief among his qualities are geniality, wit, compassion and candor, the fusion of which makes him a pleasure to spend time with, for both close acquaintances and strangers alike. As a host Zach is easy-going and accommodating. He's often put me up as a guest in his apartment and it's always been a comfortable and relaxing stay.
