Sadly the West End of London - known as Central London - is the busiest part of the UK and there is no absolute sound level guarantee anywhere. I do indicate in my description that noise is dependent on the degree of revelry in the area. I will be much more descriptive in future!
It's simply staggering that anyone thinks Central London should be quiet... I've lived on noisy streets in London - both Drury Lane & Wardour Street - and know that Hanway Place is quiet for W1 London. Obviously worldwide standards and expectations of quiet cannot count as comparison, but this really is a haven for us locals!!
Anyhow I hope the extra space in the extra bedroom - given as a gesture of goodwill for a family trip was helpful - and I thank you for leaving the apartment tidy :)
