Lely was a wonderful host, very helpful and accommodating. Checking in with us often to make sure everything was OK--which it was. Her truly lovely and comfortable apartment is a great place from which to explore Jaffa and Tel-Aviv. Wonderful coffee and pastries up the street [Cafe Maraguza] and [what some say] is Tel-Aviv's best hummus [Abu Hassan] just down the block; a ten-minute stroll to the lively port or the long oceanfront promenade; easy access to great restaurants in her neighborhood or in nearby Neve Tzedek or even in Florentin, a 20-minute walk or easy cab ride. Night-time views of the Tel-Aviv skyline from her lovely rooftop deck. Walking distance to everything you might need--groceries, pharmacy , health food stores. We are looking forward to returning.
We had a wonderful time staying at Lely's! The apartment is very clean and has two amazing balconies. We loved the view of Tel-Aviv at night! The apartment is located very close to the flea market, many restaurants and shops. We would recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in the Jaffa area.
Staying at Lely's was a wonderful experience and a great end to our trip. We loved all of the balconies and terraces! Yet the indoors were just as great and comfy. The place looks exactly is it does in the pictures. When we arrived it was completely clean and Tal even left us a bottle of homemade grape juice and a bowl of fruit. We couldn't have felt any more welcome! Tal was very prompt in her communication, so kind and attentive. She really made sure that we had all that we needed and that all our questions were answered. It felt like having an Israeli aunt!! :)
Lovely apartment, great balconies, very clean, right near old Jaffa.
It had everything we needed. My two kids slept on the couch and bed upstairs.
It worked out fine for a family of four.
Super Wohnung in genialer Lage,waren begeistert!Tolles Preis/Leistungsverhältnis...
Very nice duplex apartment in the heart of Jaffa! Excellent experience and a cool host. Recommended!
I rented the apartment for my parents and a 14-year old brother coming to visit me from Russia. It was a G-ds blessing that I chose exactly this one. A week there was something amazing for my family. This is the cleanest apartment ever! When we arrived there we were surprised with the layout of the rooms. It's a wonderful duplex. It's all new and stunning. On the 1st floor you have a sitting room with a kitchen, one sleeping room with a king bed, a nice bathroom with a bathtub and a pretty balcony with flowers. When you go up the beautiful marble stairs you get to a second floor bedroom which is huge and also very comfortable. There are also 2 balconies on both sides of the room, one is really CRAZY huge. Like one more room. You can find sofas there and tables and even GAS BRAZIER for BBQ.
Now speaking about the equipment of the apartment: it literally HAS EVERYTHING YOU CAN NEED and even more. Hair dryer , iron , washing machine , full kitchen with oven and stove , teapot, fridge and freezer, LOADS of utensils, 2 WI FIs, 2 TVs, linen , towels, hangers and it is just a few things.
Air conditioning was perfect. There are a few conditioners there in the apartment. It always was so chilly in there that I couldn't take my family out. They enjoyed spending time there and actually the house was the biggest delight of the vacations for them.
The location is another topic for admiring. In the heart of old Jaffa, 4 minutes walk to a flea market and all the nice restaurants, 10 minutes to the Jaffa port, 14 minutes to the beach. Sometimes me and my brother rented bikes which was next to the house and then it took us 6 minutes to the beach.
My parents are looking forward to coming again and they are planing to rent only this apartment. The owner was extremely sweet and helpful and even left for us home- made by her husband grape juice which was delicious and fragrant. We are really grateful. This week was a fairy tale.
It warmed my heart to read your lovely review and to see that you loved our home as much as we do.
Please stay in touch and come again.
We loved the location! At first we were concerned about not being in the heart of Tel Aviv or Jaffa - this is more Old Jaffa near the port (just as described) however what we soon discovered on our first evening is that the old flea market (just minutes away) comes alive with the most fantastic restaurants, bars and cafes! It's the Shoreditch or Silverlake or Brooklyn of Tel Aviv. We absolutely loved the area and so easy to walk around to shop, get to the beach or sight see. The flat was just as described and very welcoming with small touches such as a fresh bowl of fruit on the table. Maps and guide pages are left under the coffee table to peruse. Tal was very communicative and helped us throughout our stay by email and (website hidden) Aviv is a fantastic place to visit and the beaches are wonderful.
Great Location, even better communication with owner. Was easy and flawless
From initial enquiries until check out, Lely & Tal were extremely helpful & quick to respond to any questions that I had. We arrived very late in the evening, however their very slick check in procedure meant it wasn't a problem, very impressive. The apartment's even nicer than it appears online - spacious, modern & fully equipped, a real home from home, the upstairs terrace & lounge/bedroom are by far the best feature of the apartment. The view of the city is so impressive that we found ourselves rushing back to enjoy the sunset from there. I was initially concerned that basing ourselves in Jaffa would mean we were slightly out of the 'action' - how wrong was I?! Jaffa is so funky and cool that we spent most of our time there - with the apartment slap bang in the centre we found it to be the perfect place to base our stay in Tel Aviv. I could go on and on about this place. . . . . It's simpler to say we couldn't fault it. Thanks for sharing your amazing apartment with us, we'll definitely be back! Scott & Co
Lely's son Illay and his friend Ruven came over to stay in Amsterdam for 10 days. They took care of leaving our house clean and tidy, and they respected our house rules. Thank you for the wine from Israel you left us!
