I was born and raised in New Orleans, lived in Memphis for four years while I attended Rhodes College and played NCAA soccer there. Upon graduation I moved to Washington DC and in 2009 moved back to New Orleans! I haven't looked back since!

Terrific home, exactly as advertised. In fact, the rooms actually are bigger than they seem in the photos. Alexander was super responsive, quick to reply to questions and helpful. Our group of five college friends (from the 1980s!) really appreciated his binder of suggestions for restaurants and activities, as well as relevant businesses near the house. We had a rental car, so the neighborhood is convenient to all the key sites and activities. A comfortable, well-furnished and well-equipped home base for exploring NOLA.
Alexander was a great host. He responded in a timely manner to all of my emails and was great about accommodating my request to arrive early and leave late, several hours before and after the the check-in/check-out times. The apartment was spacious enough for 6 of us to sleep in and move about comfortably, plus there were plenty of towels and blankets to go around. The unit looks exactly like it does in the photos, so what you see is what you'll get. Full kitchen, washer and dryer, full bathroom, two very large mattresses in the bunk beds, and two futons that fold down into full-size beds. I would definitely recommend this place to others!
The house was exactly what we were looking for in New Orleans. It didn't have a tv or anything else to distract us from just having a good time. That back patios are amazing for hanging out side. The house is perfect but the neighborhood is a little sketchy, especially at night. We took taxis to and from the house. Overall it was a great experience and it was perfect for a bachelor party.
The house was clean and ready for us when we got there!!
We had an amazing time during our stay in NOLA. We were a group of 11 girls, having a Batchelorette party and couldn't be happier with our trip and accommodations. Thank you Alexander! I'm really happy that my first Airbnb experience was with you. :)
Thank you so much, Stephanie!! Y'all were great. Come back and see us!
We absolutely loved the location and the house as perfect to host a larger group and have space for people to hang out on balconies, at the kitchen table and in the living rooms. The house was very clean and a wonderful location. I would recommend this location to anyone going to New Orleans. Alexander makes it so easy to check in and out and with the lockpad system, a large group isn't constantly trying to coordinate key handoffs.
Everything looked exactly same as posted picture so what you see is what you get. The apartment is clean, has bit of everything, has enough space for 4 people. Distance from major tourist attractions is very much acceptable. Check in process was easy and clear. I believe this is smoking free apartment but some of the guests were heavy smoker or something the smell remains badly which is not Alex's fault but anyway not good. Wi-Fi was working great. You need to be prepared kind of loud noise(foot steps, TV, etc) from upstairs and other side of apartment.
Thanks for your review! I apologize for the smoke smell, not every guest is as respectful as you!
This place was fantastic! It was exactly as we expected. The house and neighborhood are lovely.. A nice quiet street, but an easy cab ride away to the French Quarter and all the nightlife you could want. Alexander was great to communicate with, and they had things set up so everything went very smoothly. This is a great place in New Orleans!
Jacob, thanks so much for your great review! Happy travels!
The house was roomy and had everything we needed as a large group. Plus, the outdoor area was a nice space to congregate. Alexander was a great host - she was quick to respond and very accommodating. The location did not make walking to the French Quarter feasible but the taxis were reliable and prompt (and inexpensive), except during peak hours when things took much longer. Plan for that, though, and you'll be fine!
The place was great and the property was well kept. All bedding and dishes we needed were there and overall everything was clean. Access to the place with a large group was awesome because of the keypad entrance. Definitely a plus. The surrounding area is a bit sketchy but so long as one isn't walking alone at night it's pretty typical for NOLA.
I was a little disappointed by the bikes. Only 5 of them were in working condition and even then we had to use a little WD40 to get the seats down and tires aired up. Luckily exactly 5 of us had stayed back to bike so we weren't short, but for planning and time sake I wish we had a more accurate idea of the bike situation. Not the best area of town for biking. We rode ours down the Canal Streetcar lane into the French Quarter.
Jena, thanks so much for your review! I apologize for the bike situation, I will look into it! Happy travels!
Highly recommend staying with Alex in his place. As a friend of many years, Alex has always been very trustworthy, consistently reliable and so much fun to be around. He'll treat you as family. Stay with him if you can!
Alex is a great guy. Very responsible and clean. His character and sense of southern hospitality definitely makes him the perfect host for AirBnB. No question he will make sure your stay is comfortable and enjoyable.
Fantastic guy and always willing to give a helping hand.
Alex is the best! Friendly, reliable, and always knows what's what in New Orleans.
