We loved staying in Anna's apartment. Everything was meticulously clean and the decor and great light made the space very cozy and welcoming. The bed and linens were very comfortable! Anna gave great directions and we had no trouble accessing the apartment, although the house number was a bit difficult to read in the dark. Anna left notes for us with helpful hints and instructions as well. The apartment is very conveniently located near Main Street and we were able to walk a few minutes to the Blue Moon Diner for a great breakfast. It is also only a short drive to the Bedford neighborhood (great tapas place called MAS) and Monticello. The neighborhood felt pretty safe and there was parking in a small lot next to the house. I'd definitely stay here again if I was in town.
Great. Very clean. Wonderful experience.
Staying at Anna's home in Charlottesville was a terrific experience. Anna went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and the house is warm and comforting. The location is centrally located between UVA and the downtown mall, in the neighborhood behind the Amtrak station. Would definitely recommend to someone looking for a great spot to stay when visiting Charlottesville!
Anna's house was great! Very big and spacious, clean, and comfortable - perfect for our getaway. Anna was extremely thoughtful - leaving toiletries in case we forgot, and allowed us access to whatever was in her fridge. The house is on a quiet street in easy walking distance to both the mall and the campus.
The street did not seem to be filled with student housing, but we felt 100% safe
Anna's place was perfect for our stay in Charlottesville! The house was immaculate, the check-in process simple and seamless and the location better than described. Off street parking made it easy to come and go, but the historic downtown mall was so close that we honestly didn't need to move the car all weekend. This was our first time using airbnb and Anna made it completely effortless!
Spacious and welcoming place with very easy access to the downtown mall in Cville. Comfortable bed, clean bathroom with clean bath towels. Kitchen is great for any leftovers you might have from dining out. The hostess is a star! the muffins, organic fruit and coffee was a very nice and most appreciated touch. Thank you again for a wonderful experience.
Anna's apartment is WONDERFUL! High ceilings, very open, very bright, impeccably decorated, beautiful flowers, great location... what's not to love? It's an easy walk into downtown Charlottesville, so we had a great time exploring what is a truly beautiful city. And, while we were visiting, my girlfriend and I got engaged alongside the Appalachian Trail (near Humpback Rocks), just a short drive away. Truly a weekend to remember :)
This place is perfect for anybody looking for a great space walking distance from anything you could want to do in Charlottesville. Anna is very responsive and helpful, and offered plenty of suggestions around restaurants and things to do. Thanks for a great weekend, Anna!
Anna was a terrific host and the space was clean and bright and charming. We enjoyed being in walking distance of the downtown mall. Her apartment is very close to many lovely restaurants and a great market, which we discovered at the very end of our trip!
Anna made my first Air BnB stay a great one. If they're all like this, I may never use a hotel again! I had a wedding to attend in Charlottesville, and so I decided to make a weekend out of it as I love that town. The apartment is gorgeous--very spacious with plenty of room to spread out. If your group is on the larger side, you'll have plenty of room/won't feel crowded. And if it's just one or two of you, you'll enjoy spreading out in the airy and well furnished kitchen, living room, and bedroom. If you're a writer or artist of any sort, I highly recommend it as a creative retreat. The views are lovely and inspiring; there is plenty of greenery surrounding you even though you're on a neighborhood street.
You are a very easy walk away from the Pedestrian Mall (which I will always think of as the Downtown Mall) and Main Street favorites such as Wild Wings and Starr Hill. Even the Corner/UVA area is walkable if you're up for it--less than a mile probably.
There's great attention to detail that makes you feel right at home as soon as you reach the top of the stairs and enter your new home for the weekend/however long you're staying. The Keurig is a nice touch, and there's half and half and sugar. There's even a filtered water pitcher in the fridge, and Anna provides great linens, a variety of toiletries, and an incredible bed and down comforter that will make it difficult to get up in the morning. She's thought of everything. :)
Anna is really friendly and easy to work with. She gets back to you quickly if you have a question for her. And overall, she's just an excellent host. Really, I almost felt like I was house sitting for a friend for the weekend. You definitely can't go wrong with this Air BnB. I hope to stay here again in the future.
Can't say enough about how wonderful the apartment was. Two friends and I were in town for a girls' weekend, and Anna's place was perfect. It is a private top-floor apartment that is beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. Anna left some fruit and bread for us, and stocked coffee and milk so we could enjoy a nice breakfast. The location just south of the Charlottesville Mall was perfect. The house's lovely gardens attract hummingbirds, swallows, yellow finches, and butterflies and smell divine. Both friends and I said we would love to come back and stay in Anna's apartment next time we are in town.
Anna is an old friend and neighbor and I can easily say she has the most beautiful garden on the street. It is mid-October and it is still wildly in bloom. She has a wonderful warm manner and delicious laugh. I can only be sure she is the most gracious host.
As a guest or as a host, the AirBnB community is lucky that Anna has joined. She keeps her space clean, attractive and interesting! I'd happily host Anna (if we didn't live down the street) and you should happily open your house if she comes calling. Likewise, deciding to stay in Anna's house will be the easiest and smartest decision you make on your trip to Charlottesville. You really only need to look as far as her front yard to see the immense amount of care she takes with her personal space, getting the opportunity to hang out in her classic old Fifeville house is one that should not be missed. I'd vouch for her any day . .she'll treat you right!
