My experience was not so good. The studio was VERY DIRTY, I passed the first day cleaning everything (dust everywhere, dirty bathroom, dirty floor), the bedclothes where really dirty, spotted and with a horrible smell! Internet doesn't work well and the bathroom window too. I never met the host and he never answered to my e-mails ( I sent two or three messages to thank him for accepting the booking!) He just sent me one after some day to ask the time of arrival. Everytime I touched the fridge or the kitchen I took a light (very light, don't worry!) shock. The positive thing is that the area is safe and there are a lot of shops and markets near. The closest metro is "Les Gobelins".
I'll Never come back there!
Fantastic location right in the heart if the Latin Quarter and super close to two metro stations. We enjoyed walking to the famous market around the corner every morning to get croissants and coffee.
The apartment was very clean, and a perfect size for one or two people. The building it was in was even really nice!
Would definitley suggest this apartment to anyone! Gave us a wonderful Parisian experience.
The studio was in a great position, near to Rue Mouffetard and metro (Censier Daubenton stop). Next to the studio there is all you need for your stay (mini-markets, bars, shops).
The studio is small (from Airbnb photos it really seems bigger); however, it's ok for two persons that we want to spend a holiday in Paris for a couple of days.
At our arrival, a friend of Ray showed us the apartment and she gave us all the information regarding it. The studio was clean; we were happy to find sheets and towels clean. There was only a problem regarding internet and tv: they didn't work at our arrival. Ray was able to repair internet, but not tv, since there was an issue with the cable and the new one arrived after our departure (unfortunately we are been in studio without tv for 5 days).
Even we had this problem, I suggest this studio to everyone that would like to visit Paris in freedom.
In addition, I suggest to contact Ray at least one week before the period of reservation, in order to be sure that he can give you a reply in time before your arrival.
We stayed with Ray at the start of November 2013. The apartment is just as shown in the pictures and is located in a great neighborhood. There is easy access from the Metro to Notre Dame and the Louvre. From there you can catch the hop-on, hop-off bus that will take you all over Paris.
The flat is located in a nice residential area with tons of bakeries and restaurants within minutes of walking. We found some of the most fantastic pastries ever!
As for the flat, it is as show in the pictures. It is located on the 1st floor (2nd floor American) there is a small elevator good for one person or some bags but to be honest, its easier to carry them up. The flat is very secure and you can feel comfortable leaving your things there during the day. The windows in the apartment open up to a nice courtyard.
The only negatives were that the bathroom is a little bit snug if you are larger than average but you can manage it. Second, and this seems to be a European thing, the bed was pretty firm and I would recommend bringing a couple pillows or maybe Ray could add a couple in the closet for guest use.
Overall, I would not let those couple things deter you from staying there. The apartment is a great bargain for the location and amenities. The satellite TV has a ton of stations and the internet in the flat works great. Enjoy your stay.
Comfortable stay in a fantastic location in Paris. Easy access to all major attractions especially great restaurants within walking distance. Small apartment but suited our requirements for a base to explore the city. Recommend.
Je déconseille. / I don’t recommend it.

Ray had forgotten our appointment. I had to call him and I waited 45 minutes on the sidewalk.
And no compensation.
He doesn’t care of travelers.

The studio is not "cozy" at all. The equipment is minimal. For example, there is no table (only a coffee table).
It's pretty dirty. There are things lying under the bed and on furniture. There was even an old used teabag in the fridge ! And the shower seems to keep track of all previous visitors.
I don’t recommend it.
I am a long time traveler with MANY holiday rentals under my belt. This is my first Airbnb rental and my first unfortunate experience...
The host did not deliver what I paid for. The location was ideal and the apartment itself was "cozy" as described, but the smell inside the unit was unbearable. I had to wash all my clothes twice when i got home from the smell that my clothes and suitcase absorbed from the apartment. The internet almost NEVER worked. I exchanged endless emails and troublshooted with the host to try to correct the problem, but that did not help. The host provided me with his personal wifi credentials but they did not work in the apartment. I missed business meetings, emails and communications from my children due to this issue.
When I first arrived in Paris, on time at our agreed time and location, the hosts wife arrived to tell me that the host was unable to come or to clean the apartment for our agreed time. I had to leave my baggage and leave the apartment immediately so that his wife could clean it up from the previous guests. My original plan was to arrive at the apartment, shower and step out for a dinner. I was unable to do that. Instead, I left the apartment immediately to go grocery shopping so I could cook my own meal. When I did return to the apartment after the cleaning, it was visibly very clean but the horrible smell was still there. When I proceeded to prepare my dinner and turn on the electric stove, the fuse blew and cut power in the entire apartment. I was able to find the fuse box and reinstate the power, but anytime I tried to use the stove, the fuse would blow the power from the entire apartment again and again. I had to wait for the following evening for the host to bring me another single burner electric stove.
I have read previous reviews for this apartment and am shocked by my experience. This is a lovely apartment in an ideal location, but the host has a lot of work to do before it is rental-worthy. This is not an apartment with wifi or a functioning stove for cooking, and his lack of delivering a clean apartment (at the agreed time and date) did not happen either.
Airbnb has since refunded me, but even dealing with them was not an easy process. They did not respond to me in time delay they promised - on more than one occasion, and they make up rules that work in their favor along the way.
Overall, the apartment was in a great location and was a good price, but there were a few little problems...
On arrival the sheets were unwashed, brand new from the packet and stiff as cardboard, we had to wash them before we made the bed. The bed is very uncomfortable and worn out - we stayed for 2 weeks so this was a problem. Neither of the sinks nor shower drain properly and only one stove element works.
We would stay there again but for a much shorter period of time, would not recommend for a long stay in Paris.
Close proximity to Rue Mouffetard is great though, delicious patisseries and restaurants everywhere!
Excelente ubicacion. Comodo y sobre todo muy atento Ray,
Hay varias tiendas para comprar alimentos cercas. y buenos accesos a los transportes publicos. Muy recomendable.
