Very delightful stay. The boat offer a perfect destination for our long weekend. We especially enjoyed the manatees which frequent the marina and on the last day surrounded the boat.
Our stay on boat time could not have been a better experience! Sheena and George were very welcoming onto their boat! They were very attentive and made us feel at home. The kitchen was fully equipped with for cooking (we made breakfast every morning!) The boat is conveniently located by the bath house with nice, clean showers. It is perfect location to take a scenic drive to Sannibel Island and Captiva. We were able to see a manatee our last day right off the boat! It was clean, and a unique adventure. The neighbors also took us sailing to see the sunset! We would recommend this to anyone, and look forward to another stay!
Wonderful two nights aboard the Sea Horse, perfect for a mother-daughter get away. The boat is very well outfitted and maintained, we were totally comfortable. Marathon was a perfect mid-way point in the Keys, hopefully the new Gulf coast location will be equally enjoyable. Thanks for sharing your beautiful boat!
Sheena and her boat are fantastic! Everything we hoped for. My wife and I and two daughters (8 and 10) stayed comfortably for three nights. The kitchen is well outfitted and even includes a blender for cocktails on the deck. The marina where it is docked is also great because it has a swimming pool and showers only a 3 minute walk form the slip in case you want a little more elbow room than the shower on the boat (though my wife used it and said it was fine). We had some concerns about being sea sick b/c one of our kids is prone to it, but the boat hardly moves at all. Thanks to Sheena for her great Canadian hospitality.
The boat was spectacular, the location super convenient, the marina and grocery store big pluses and Sheena had set up everything we could possibly need to be self sufficient for our trip while being a phone-call away. I can't think of a better way to explore the Keys, and am half-tempted not to tell you all this, in order to make sure there is a spot for me to return in the future! The bed is comfy and roomier than expected, the kitchen stocked for serious cooking, and I saw a manatee within minutes of stepping aboard. All in all, another A+ travel experience.
Sheena and George were wonderful hosts! They were very friendly and accommodating. When we arrived we had just missed a manatee in the marina. Unfortunately, we didn't see him during our visit. Sheena provided us with fresh towels at the beginning of our stay, which was appreciated. The boat is well secured and doesn't rock or sway much. We were there on very windy days so I was impressed with the steadiness of the vessel. It was a very cool experience staying on a boat and I definitely recommend it. We mostly used the facilities at the marina for bathroom and shower, which was easy. There's also a great tiki bar at the resort where you can meet friendly travelers and locals alike. Although they weren't kept with the boat, we were able to use Sheena's bikes for a trip to the 7-mile bridge, which was breath-taking. Marathon'(email hidden) to explore and the boat just made our trip that much more interesting.
The boat was perfect in every way! Well equipped kitchen, super comfy bed and linens, beautiful marina with pool, tiki bar and live music. Sheena and George dropped by each afternoon to attend to the boat and our needs. Super nice people who want their guests to have a great time.
We hope to cross their paths again.
Sheena is a very nice person and I was very happy to meet her, George and Jenny. We have a great time. She is very helpful, and the boat was clean, and comfortable. Everything was great.
We spent 3 nights on Sheena's boat in February and loved it. They have everything you could possibly need - from a wine cooler (email hidden) - and are incredibly helpful and accommodating. The location was great, all the neighbors are friendly and we were able to use the pool at the marina. It was a quiet, lovely place.
Staying on the boat was a special experience for us; chance to have "our own sailboat" for a few days without the ownership hassles. And Sheena is a very good host. If you want to avoid the hotel experience try "Island Time."
Very clean, tidy and respectful of our place! Sheena and George are a very interesting couple! nice to talk to and friendly. We would love to have both of you (email hidden) again in the future!
