I stayed only two nights at Pasuqales beautiful apartment in Tropea, I wish I would have had more time. Pasquale was very friendly and helpful and provided me not only a nice apartment but also a lot of information about the area and the culture. The apartment has everything one wishes for a nice stay and is extremely central, yet far away from the busy streets. The garden is beautiful and I had even sunny moments around this time of the year. I was a bit worry about my stay since I had read, too late, the last critic, but realized that I didn't find any of those critical points myself, plus I got the sun!! Overall I have to say, I will definitely be back next year!! Thank you very much again and see you soon!
We stayed for 5 nights in Pasquales very tiny apartment and it was a mixed pleasure. The garden was nice, but not sunny at this time of the year as promised. The apartment must basically be cosidered as a very tall cellar with a deck put in to seperate it into two levels. Rather claustrophobic.
And very dark. The spiral staircaise to the top floor is very narrow too. The walls on the ground level were dirty and the door to the fridge looked REALLY ugly from the outside (although nice and clean on the inside). The equipment of the kitchen was very basic except from the stove top – no wine glasses, no sharp knife for instance.
One day when we came back from a trip Pasquale was there and told us with a bit of anger that he had locked himself into the apartment to turn of the light!! Rather uncomfortable to have strangers to enter your messy apartment while you are not there!!! Besides he told us in a very angry way that our dogs smelled and that he had to do a "massive cleaning" when we left and that he wanted extra money for that. We have to say that we never has had problems with the dogs the other places we stayed and that we always leave properly cleaned homes/apartments We also have to say that the bad smell actually came from the apartment itself. When we opened the lower kitchen cabinets there were a harsh smell of mold. Not good for your health.
All in all we can not recommend this apartment if you suffer the least from claustrophobia or are allergic to mold.
Pascale's apartment was just as described. It is very near to the center but far enough away so it's not too noisy.
Pascale is very helpful and friendly.
We had a great time and would definitely recommend a stay here!
Very welcoming. Lovely apartment in a central location
Wij vonden het een heel prettige locatie.
Prima huis, midden in de stad en Pasquale was zeer behulpzaam.
Pasquale and family were great hosts. The apartment was exactly as shown, clean, and the location was ideal. It's right outside of the city center, but close enough to enjoy the beach and everything the center offered. Parking on the street was easy and right outside the terrace gate. While we ate out each night (all within walking distance), the kitchen has everything you need to cook your own meals. There was even an extra option for his sister to teach a cooking class or provide a full course meal. Next time, we will probably give that a try. Overall, it's a wonderful place and we look forward to visiting again!
Dear Dave, such a nice rewiew is yours, thank you so much I hope next time we can meet each other and enjoy a glass of wine togheter. Hope you are still enjoying your italian holiday. Will be always a pleasure to host you.
