Hi, I am an entrepreneur in his mid-30s who travels part of the year. Originally, from Missouri, I now call the historic West Village in New York City home.
I truly recommend Kevin's appt. First, it's lovely appt in a lovely area ( west village). You'll find around all the goods restaurants/bars/ bakeries. Magnolia bakery is about 2 blocks from the appt!!! And then it was a pleasure to deal with Kevin, he always answered back to all of our questions very fast, and remained available and flexible for everything we needed!
For French people: " foncez!! Vous ne regretterez pas!"
Kevin's apartment MADE our NYC experience! We spent a few nights in another apartment in Hell's Kitchen, which was a great idea to cover off much of the touristy stuff. But our 5 nights in Kevin's apartment showed us a much different side to NYC and gave us great insight into what it is like to live there. We took full advantage of the great restaurants and bars in the area, shopped up a storm, walked the highline.... you couldn't wipe the smiles off our faces we were so happy! The location could not have been more perfect,
Kevin is a great host. Super communicative in the lead up, made a point to be there to greet us and introduce us to his apartment and the neighbourhood. His apartment was the perfect size for my husband and I. It was super clean. The shower was great - both temperature and pressure! There was plenty of room for all of our bags (and all the shopping bags we accumulated!).
If we weren't so boring and responsible, we would ditch our lives here in Sydney and move into this place in a heartbeat! Can't recommend it enough!
Kevin was a great host - very prompt, thorough communication, and always available for questions. And his apartment is great. Very roomy, and the extra bed in the sleeping loft was perfect for my daughter to have her own little space. The location is perfect, with the Hudson river and the High Line Park just a couple of blocks away, and really good restaurants and coffee shops within a stone's throw of the front door. The only downside is that it's a little bit of a walk to the nearest subway station, but given the location and neighborhood, it was well worth it. And cabs are really easy to get in the neighborhood. I would definitely stay again!
For those not familiar with New York, Kevin's place is blocks from Bleeker Street with fabulous shopping and no end of great restaurants. It is also block from the water, with people biking, running and strolling along the water. The apartment itself was clean and homey and right next door to a charming coffee house. There were plenty of blankets and pillows and fresh towels. Kevin communicates very well so there was not confusion about how to get in, when to arrive, etc. He also let us leave out bags well in advance of check in so we could run around New York. We loved this place and would stay again.
Great communication with owner Kevin. Apt is very clean and cozy with excellent TV and wi fi. We slept very well on the comfortable bed. Location is great as well, being walking distance to Soho and Chelsea and a few streets away from subway. Except for occasional and brief footfalls from apt overhead and muffled music from neighbor, the place was quiet. Recommended!!!!
Perfect location & perfect host. I would stay here again, definitely.
I had a lovely stay. The apartment is in the perfect location and quite roomy for the area, which was a bonus.
Kevin is a great host, responsive, accommodating and he knows the neighbourhood very well.
He let me drop my bags off way before the 'check-in' time and had some fantastic restaurant recommendations. The NYC is so much better when experienced from West Village!
Thank you, Kevin, I'll definitely be back.
Great apartment, in a great neighbourhood, in, of course, a great city. Kevin does a bang-up job as host... obliging, helpful communicative. Kevin's apartment gives immediate access to the charms of the West Village as well as being within walking distance of the Meatpacking District (Chelsea Market... OOH! LA! LA! land for foodies!) and Chelsea. We very much look forward to returning to the West Village and exploring even further.
Kevin's 'Adorable' apartment definitely lived up to our expectations, and he was a awesome host. We were first time Air bnb users, so a little nervous. Kevin was great from the first contact and our only regret is that we didn't get to meet him or see him perform, maybe next time! We loved this location, the 11th St Cafe make the best coffees, and the almond croissants are to die for! There is so much close by, that we needed more time to discover what was around the next corner. The Highline, Chelsea Marekt, The Hudson, amazing restaurants, wine bars, subway, all very close. The apartment was very comfortable, quiet, with good security and a lift to the 5th floor. The aircon worked really well, although a little noisy. This really made our first NYC stay enjoyable, we loved it and will definitely be back to stay again. Thanks Kevin.

My friend and I spent 3 nights at Kevin's place for our first time in NYC and we thought the apartment was absolutely charming. The location was great, we absolutely loved the small cafe located a small ways from the apartment. There were lots of small restaurants, bars, and cute shops located nearby as well. Subway lines were also very convenient and close by, it gave us quick access to many of the tourist areas uptown and downtown. We didn't end up staying in the apartment as much as we would have liked, but it was still a great place to unwind at the end of a very long day; the bed was very comfy and the TV is gorgeous. Kevin was also a great host, and was very accommodating before and during our trip. All in all, this is an amazing place to stay at and I would definitely return and recommend it to friends! Thanks again Kevin!
Kevin was a very nice and kind guest. They left the room clean and were very communicative with the other guest also. I highly recommend them
Kevin was a great guest! Clear communication and I see an experienced host, as he kindly took the time to strip the bedding nicely and left my place looking super clean!! I highly recommend him as a guest in your home and look forward to welcoming him back to my own.
I know Kevin W from graduate school at Stanford, back in 2003. Kevin is a nice guy, very friendly and sociable, with lots of interests and involvement in the community. He's easy to work with and good for his word!
I've known Kevin for over 10 years now. Knowing how responsible, responsive, friendly, neat, accommodating, knowledgeable about cool events/ restaurants/ things to do around town, and heck of funny he is, Kevin is one perfect host.
Kevin is AWESOME! (Except for the fact that he didn't tell me his apartment was rentable. I totally would have booked my mom there last week. But I digress...) I've known Kevin since 2001, when we went to grad school together, and I love seeing him when I'm in NY. He is not a serial killer or even slightly creepy. In fact, he's the opposite -- warm, good-hearted, smart, and hysterical. If my sister told me she was marrying Kevin, I would be thrilled. He also has impeccable taste, style, and manners, which fully extend to his hosting habits.
Kevin?... Kevin is one of those people that you instantly feel comfortable with a few mins after you've met him. He's very friendly, easy going, and funny. He's a true professional who is dependable and trustworthy. Anyone would be lucky to have him as a friend... like me.
Oh, and his place is outstanding. A clean spacious studio in a prime location in the West Village. There are tons of great restaurants, bars, clubs and cafes that are located within a walking distance. The subways are very close and the taxi's are abundant. You'll be in the middle of it all. You can't go wrong by booking with Kevin!
Staying at Kevin's place was great! It's well located, a great building and within walking distance of some great bars, hotels with night clubs in them and restaurants. Keeps me within walking distance to Union Square & an Apple Store. He is a great host. Makes sure you know everything to know to make your stay enjoyable in NYC. The studio is great, it has a loft for an extra 2 people of need be and has a ton of natural sunlight which makes staying there long term much better than other spots that are closed in. Kev is great host and I try and stay at his place every time I go to NYC because the West Village is so great.
