Hi Sarah Thanks for taking the time to review our Casita. It is true that if you are on foot, it is about a 45 to 1 hour walk into town, unless you are comfortable hitch hiking. We do our best to offer shuttles from the ferry to the casita and back (at $20.00 per ride) and we offer rides into town and back if we are going in and back (free and dependent on our times in and back), but it is best to have bikes or a car. Bikes, scooters and Cars can be rented at Salt Spring Rentals (website hidden) Hope to see you again! Tracy and Carl
Thanks so much Carol - Lynne for reviewing our Villa. The hot tub garden is a very delightful, relaxing place indeed! I am so glad you felt welcomed, Carl is a sweetie eh? We love Ruckle Park too, so glad you were able to explore it! Hope to see you again!
Thanks so much for the lovely review Amy. It was no problem for us that you came right up to the top of the hill and to our place. It is hard at night, even with all our lights on, it can still be pretty dark! Fridas is built into the side of the hill so yes half way up the driveway is where you can park to unload and spend your first night. Fridas parking is at the first turn in the driveway but not on level ground so we make the second parking space available for guests so everything is on level ground for loading and unloading. We loved having you and your family Amy and we hope to see you again!
Hi Maru It was delightful to meet you and Eboya. What a lovely couple you are! We are thrilled to hear your vacation on SSI was peaceful and magical. We live on a spectacular island with an incredible community of people and love sharing every bit of it with our guests. Thanks again for choosing Fridas Cottage. We look forward to your return. We do suggest you book early as the cottage books up quickly and is already half booked for next summer (2015)! All the Best Tracy and Carl
Thanks Scott y Maru I hope you do come up to Canada as we would love to show you around and practice our Spanish! I highly recommend your sunny suite in Puebla, Mexico to our guests. Puebla is a beautiful Colonial City with gorgeous buildiings, churches, parks and a fantastico Zocalo! It is where the beautiful colourful Talavera pottery you see all over Mexico originates from. If you would like to see examples of this work from one of the 4 certified makers in Mexico visit Uriarte Talavera (website hidden) One of these days you will see a line of Talavera on their website that is Frida Kahlo inspired designed by moi
