I'm a staff writer for Chicago's local alt-weekly, the Chicago Reader, by day and an enthusiast of vegetarian living, two-wheeled modes of transportation, running everywhere all the time, and collecting obscure hardcore-punk records by night. I like sports way more than people would ever expect and represent Cincinnati (my hometown) as much as I can.
As far as travel goes, I get out of town as much as my work allows, often venturing west to soak in the temperate weather and scenic terrain. San Francisco is a regular destination, as is Austin, where I usually hit up at least one music festival a year. Recently, I've been discovering more and more how much I love camping and backpacking.
I'm a clean and courteous guest who doesn't know any better because his mom is obsessively tidy. I'm self-sufficient and more than independent enough to navigate any city. Plus I have an iPhone, which helps.
Finally, I have incredible knowledge about anything Seinfeld-related and for reasons I can't quite articulate take great pride in the fact that I've never seen the movie Titanic.
