I'm an ESL Teacher, a mum of two kids and an Airbnb host. I love traveling myself, therefore understand the wants and needs of a nice, clean and safe place to put down your head and a great location for discovering a new place.
I love living in Edinburgh and think its a great city to visit, I like to make sure that you will get all the help and info you require to make sure you have a brilliant time here.
Being a host I've met lots of great and interesting people, I also get that through teaching foreign students... I guess I just like getting to meet new faces!
If you come to Edinburgh I recommend the following -
Walk up to the top of Arthurs Seat. You'll get beautiful views of Edinburgh and the surrounding Scottish landscape.
Grab a bite and/or a drink down in Stockbridge. Its a bit off the beaten track, but if you want a feel for Edinburgh living and local atmosphere its well worth it.
Check out the National Museum of Scotland on Chambers Street. Its bursting with all sorts that will keep you busy for a good few hours!
Walk the Royal Mile from Edinburgh Castle to Holyrood Palace or vice versa. There's and abundance of history, sightseeing etc in that mile!
Catch a game of Rugby at Murrayfield when the 6 nations is on.
August - What else but the Famous Festival?!
Edinburgh really gets into Christmas in December, its a great time to check out all the festivities, markets, Princes Street Gardens and Hogmanay of course!
