Hi, my birthplace is the Universe, so I'm feeling home in any place, and I feel comfortable with any form of life, if they come in peace.
Tommaso’s place was very nice. He was quick to answer my questions regarding the place and his directions were clear. Beautiful little loft and it was very comfortable. The shower was small though. Would recommend it to others. It was great having a chat with Tommaso as well. He recommended a very good restaurant in his neighborhood.
Tommaso's appartment is a great place to stay in Roma. Even if it's not right in the center, it will only takes you 20 mn to go to Termini from where you can go everywhere.
The appartment is more like a loft where you will feel comfortable.
You can go out at night at Pigneto, where you will have some drink avoiding all the tourists.
I don't think you can find a better place in terms of price/quality !
We had a very nice time at this Tommaso is very kind and helpful and welcoming, he helped us find restaurants and called us a taxi. The apartment is fine. It's a little rough around the edges but still comfortable and in a nice neighbourhood.
We had a great stay at Tommaso's flat. We didn't get to meet him, but he was always available on the phone and was very helpful. The studio is just as pictured in the photos, light and open space. The area is nice, safe and very non touristy, which gives you a break from all the hassle in the centre and gives you an idea of normal Roman life. Getting to town was very easy, 5 mins walk to the bus stop and 15mins bus ride, plenty of buses going and coming back. We didn't have any problems at all, the wifi worked perfectly, there's plenty of free car park spaces outside and everything you could need is around the corner...
The only downsides: it does have a workshop feeling (like someone else said before) with the rolling shutter and the space, although we were fine with that (it's a little bit hipster), it might not be for everybody... Also, when having a shower is almost impossible not to get water everywhere!
But overall, a great experience!
Response from Tommaso:
I've fixed it, thanks for the advice!
I had a great stay at Tommaso's place, he is a very friendly and helpful host. I stayed for five days and had some problems on the last (no connection with Tommaso or his appartement) and he was ready to help me, though it was not his responsibility. The appartement itself is exactly as described: it is quite spacious, has two beds, a shower and a little kitchen. The neighborhood is absolutely non-turistic which is a great plus for staying in Rome (you will be overwhelmed with tourists), the people around are very helpful too. It is not far from the bus stop and it will take you about 15-20 min to the Termini station (the central hub which is close to the main sites), once I walked by foot, it took me about an hour, but the walk was pretty nice. Actually there is nothing bad to say about the experience - the only thing it is a little bit chilly in the appartement in the winter/late spring, but this is typical for Italy (I've been at the same time in Milan, Venice and Firenze, it was all the same).
Once again, thank you, Tommaso!
I had a great stay at Tommaso's apartment in Rome! He was really helpful both before and during the stay, always responded promptly to any questions I had, and gave some some great advice on bus travel/local places to eat and drink!
The apartment is just as pictured. A large open loft style space-- a little industrial feeling, but fun-- and a comfortable place to crash after exploring Rome. The only drawback I'd say is the lack of a kitchen (there's a sink, mini fridge, and a hot plate, but any real cooking would be hard) .
I liked the neighborhood quite a bit! It felt like a place people lived rather than just vacationed, and as others mention, there is an insanely good bakery and place to eat literally outside the door. The only thing I could suggest to improve the experience would be a higher quality sheet/blanket. The one that was on the bed was clearly clean, but still felt a little ick.
Overall an awesome place to stay! Thanks again Tommaso.
Tommaso è una persona accogliente e ospitale e il loft è molto carino in una zona di Roma particolare. Esperienza assolutamente positiva.
The reservation was canceled 3 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
This is a great studio in a peaceful residential area of Rome, away from the hassles of the tourist centre, which is what we were after. Its easy to reach town by bus in 15-20 minutes, and walk to the Pigneto restaurant/bar area in 20 minutes. It is a large and comfortable open space, with comfortable beds. The wifi worked perfectly and it was very warm. The bathroom is a little awkward as there is no proper shower screen and water gets all over the floor, and the kitchen is not great for serious cooking as there is only one hotplate, though we didn't mind at this point in our trip. We had a slight issue with an electricity outage however it was repaired. The hosts were responsive and easy to deal with. I would recommend this place if you want a relaxing place to stay in Rome.
Tommaso and Sharmila are a lovely couple and I really enjoyed having them stay. They were very clean, polite and friendly and I wouldn't hesitate to have them stay again :)
Thommaso is a beautiful spirit, who knows to see the light in the people surrounding him always bringing god vibrations, joy and criative releflections. The person, you look forward to meet again
