sono una donna solare e gentile.
Sofia's flat is a great place! We really liked our stay in Nocelle where the house is actually located that is 5 km up on the hills from the center of Positano. There is a local bus connection running every half hour or you should have your own car. You have to walk roughly 400 meters up and down to get to the house, there is no circulation in the village. The room was clean and neat, the kitchen is well equipped and the terrace is a great asset too. The view from the terrace is stunning. We also got fresh fruits and tomatoes as a gift every morning! You can also hike from the place, this is where the beautiful Path of the Gods starts! The lack of internet connection in the house was a little bit problematic for us. I can recommend this place for young and energetic people who like to move.
Sofia and her niece are amazing hosts and very flexible. We arrived late in the night but Sofia was still available and got us settled in. The Villa itself is very nice and the view from the terrace is beyond words. We would gladly stay here again.
Excellent! At first sight, you see the distance all the way up the hill and then on foot to the b&b and it scares a little (my mom freaked out). Then you get used and don't want to leave this place anymore. Sofia is a wonderful host, very kind and helpful, the house is clean and cosy and you have a charming environment with minimarket where you can buy the best breakfast for fair price, restaurant and pizzeria (aaaah, the pizzeria...), everything just around the corner. Get to know the people there, they are amazing. I strongly recommend!
Eccellente! Consiglio vivamente!
Sophia's villa was absolutely fantastic! She and her niece Giussy were very kind and helpful. Giussy arranged a boat trip for us which I highly recommend to the island of Capri..The villa itself has spectacular views of the sea and is large, comfortable and clean. It is great for people who like .a little bit of isolation but still close enough to Positano. You can walk to the beach down a lot of stairs(about an hours walk or take the bus. It is also right on the trail walk of the gods which is a spectacular trail for hikers. The 2 restaurants have a drop dead gorgeous view and the food was great. The grocery store was very accomodating. All in all we could not have had a better experience. Just a warning that the hike to the villa is a little strenuous.
Staying at the Lacasa Lavinia was one of the most beautiful and relaxing experiences we have shared. Sofia was very helpful and a pleasure to meet. She went out of her way to make us feel welcome, and the house was impeccable and beyond our expectations, the photos don't do it justice. It was very reasonably priced, and very quiet and private. The views were amazing, and there is a nice little restaurant 50 metres away and a little convenience store. It takes about 10-12 minutes by car to Positano and about 35 minutes on the bus. We would stay there again and recommend to all.
The reservation was canceled the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.
We stayed in Villa Lavinia for one week and had a wonderful time there! It is very conveniently separated into two floors and each floor has a sense of privacy. The view from the terrace is absolutely amazing and it's a pure privilege to be having breakfasts there. Nochelle is a unique tiny village with some nice restaurants around (Santa Croce in Nochelle and La Tagliata in Montepertuso). It's right on the top of the hill and to get there from Positano is about 25 minutes by local bus. The drive is rather adventurous and might be a bit stressful if one is afraid of heights. The car is absolutely unnecessary as it's not very easy to park it in Positano so we happily lived without it.
There was an issue with Wi-Fi, but it got fixed towards the end of our stay. Sofia and Giusy were very welcoming. Sofia has a great attention to details and some lovely little surprises prepared for her guests.
Overall a lovely comfortable stay and great value for money.
Villa Lavinia was so incredibly charming that I can't say enough how happy I am that I chose to make this booking with Sofia. Perched high up on the Amalfi Coast in a small town called Nocelle, this house is the quintessential location for anybody looking to escape the craziness of city life. The house is fully equipped with all necessary amenities plus a gorgeous terrace to take-in the breathtaking views of Mediterranean. Guests can expect to be left in total privacy and without any interruptions from the owner, but still feel secure that any incoveniences or requests are only a phone call away. Sofia has several lodgings in the area, and can always be reached either directly or through friends/family in the village. I would say more than anything that this is a lodging best suited for seasoned travelers who understand the value and beauty of immersing in the local culture and who are unafraid of beingindependent and self-sufficient. Nocelle is a quiet and small community and while visitors are warmly welcomed, it is still a residential area with a tight-knit community of locals that have lived there for generations.
**On a side note I must add that Villa Lavinia is not for the exercise-averse, as the only means to get to the villa does require a small hike and 100+ steps. Yet, anybody coming to the Amalfi Coast should understand that there is no way to avoid the steps and steep inclines of every village in the area, as this is a part of the natural infrastructure and geography of this part of Italy. Be prepared to sweat a bit; a good thing considering the copious amounts of delicious food that you'll eat as well. Calories well-earned!
Sofia was very kind! Received us with homemade lemoncello and a bowl of fruit. We had tea bags, coffee and biscuits offered for us to make breakfast.
It was convenient to stay on top of a restaurant, as well as the pizzeria downstairs, which has an amazing view.
It was really nice to stay away from the noise and crowd from positano, if you don't mind taking the bus every day. It takes 45 min and during august it was usually very packed. But then you can sleep with peace and quiet.
highly recommend this place!
The villa was very nice and Sofia and Giusy were very helpful. The only issue is how far up the location is situated, the curves, narrow road and the parking can be a pain if you are not used to that kind of driving. Do not take a big car or you are screwed up. When you arrive and leave the villa ask for a person to take your luggages or you will have to walk 200 stairs everytime.
My friends and I had a lovely stay, the house is well equipped, clean and cozy. Going up and down the stairs put us in shape so no complains at all!
If you are a city person, you won't like it, if you like walking, hiking, go for it, perfect villa for you then.
