Orignally from Oakland, CA. I love meeting new people and hanging out with friends and my dog Simon. I like trying different foods and love to cook, hike and fish. I also love good music and like to dance and laugh.

Olaywa and her roommate are very kind and welcoming. We had a great stay and enjoyed having a private room with clean towels and a central place for exploring the Bay Area a few days.
She took us in last minute (our other booking fell through) so that was also really appreciated. And after leaving a coat in the closet and needing to come back, she was quick in re-connecting with us. Great communication all around- thanks Olaywa!
Olaywa was a very pleasant and accommodating host; her neat, clean, smartly decorated home was inviting. The diverse neighborhood is in a process of transition that is very positive but still requires a certain amount of security and caution. We never felt unsafe but if you're not use to inner city living the gated property and multiple locks can be intimidating. We walked to great restaurants and bars in the area. I would recommend Olaywa's place to anyone and would return ourselves if in the Oakland area.
My friend Stu and I had a great time staying with Olaywa. We were looking for somewhere affordable to stay while we looked for a permanent place to live, and she was very welcoming and made sure we were comfortable staying in her home. We also had a great time talking to her and getting to know her while we were there.
Olaywa was a really nice, understanding and helpful host, she explained and showed us everything and responded quickly even though we were booking the room at the very last moment and the house was in the last stage of renovation about which we were informed ahead. Her dog is very friendly. If you intent to visit San Francisco, you can be at the Bart station /public transportation to SF, 3.15 dollars one way/ in 10-15min on foot and from there it is just about 10 min to the downtown of SF.
Enjoyed meeting Olaywa and her friend. Would welcome back anytime.
