This was a great base for exploring the Big Island. Diana replied back to me whenever I contacted her. Checking in and out was extremely easy. We had everything we needed in order to take care of ourselves such as plates and pots and pans. Diana even delivered another pan while we were staying there. I was able to make breakfast whenever I wanted. There's a Walmart and KTA Supermarket not too far to obtain supplies and restaurants are also close by. There were beach towels and chairs and an umbrella available as well. The lanai was perfect for enjoying a meal and watching the sun set. There's a beach next to the complex, but we didn't take advantage of that.
We had a short but wonderful trip to the Big Island, and we were lucky to find a place that was right on one of the few sandy beaches in the area. While it is not a luxury condo, it has all the cozy comforts of home, and the view from the lanai can't be beat! We slept with the sliding doors open the first night, and the ocean is so close, it was almost too loud!
The condo was clean and comfortable with a large lanai making for great whale watching. The building and grounds are not very attractive and it is on a busy street with no walking paths.
We stayed 4 nights at Diana's condo at Kona Magic sands. The location and the view are amazing, literally right on the ocean. There is a large balcony which gives the perfect spot to enjoy meals while watching the waves and sunsets.
The condo came equipped with towels and everything we needed for the stay and the common area has a pool and a few bbqs.
We hope to come back again another time. Thanks!
This place was great. RIGHT on the ocean, as described, with a beautiful sunset everyday. Very large, furnished lanai that effectively doubled the square footage. appreciated the boogie boards, swim towels and beach chairs available for our use! Small studio kitchen was thoughtfully stocked with all needed implements plus things like condiments, paper towels and coffee filters so no need to buy stock items for a short stay.
Common pool/barbeque area was always clean and inviting. A great beach vacation spot.
Mahalo Alice! I hope you come again.. Aloha!
- Diana was a wonderful host. She provided flyers and many ideas of things to do for my children and I well before our trip. She was very kind to put up a small Christmas tree, so it would feel more like Christmas for my girls. We had the wonderful opportunity to spend some time on Christmas day with Diana and some of her family and friends. What a special treat for me and my girls, who just loved it.
- The condo was great. The girls and I loved the Lanai balcony, which has breath taking views and sounds. The girls spent three nights sleeping on the Lanai. It was quite a treat to hear the sounds of the crashing waves. I made a recording, so that I could hear it again.
- We would definitely recommend Diana's condo. Plus we hope we have the opportunity to stay their again.
My wife lived on an island growing up and loved being close to the water. Therefore the importance of staying on the water at Diana's condo. We had a wonderful time. The views were breathtaking.
Fantastic little condo on the ocean: great views, a huge outdoor patio from which you have the best view to the west of the setting sun, just close enough to Kona to be convenient but far enough away to be peaceful. The host was very welcoming -provided a tremendously easy trip through stress-free accommodations, a lovely & cozy space, & helped us out with small details for the trip. Very much recommended!
Mahalo Christina! It was a pleasure having you stay in our condo. Aloha!
I had a wonderful time at Diana's beautiful condo. It was even better than I imagined, with a huge patio that overlooked the water, so close that I could hear the waves crashing at night. The condo is spacious with every amenity imaginable, with the full size kitchen especially welcome, and the location is very central in Kailua-Kona. Diana was also very accommodating, permitting a late checkout due to a morning snorkeling tour - very much appreciated!
We stayed at Diana's place for 5 nights - the first thing we noticed when we got there were the views - the ocean is literally just outside her place!! There is a small beach right next door which is very convenient. There are even beach towels and chairs that you can borrow that are provided.
This beach house condo has everything you would need in terms of kitchen things. We ended up eating out every night, but we had breakfast a couple of times at home and everything we needed was available. We rented a car, and there is a car space available with the unit.
Diana was very accommodating and allowed us to stay an extra night which we had not booked. She was very easy to get in contact with, and was able to answer all our questions. Checking in was also a smooth process. The only thing that I was missing was an airconditioner - the nights were sometimes a bit hot and humid, but there is a screen door on the front door and the sliding door to the balcony (as well as a fan) so you can use those to cool yourself down.
Diana is a very nice lady; she contacted me before the arrival to make check in easier and everything went well. I'm really glad to know she has enjoyed her stay in Siena during the Palio. The house was left in order and I would absolutely recommend her as a guest!
