I love to travel - I regularly go for months without buying clothes or having big nights out so I can blow all my money on flights. I spent 2008 traveling around Asia and Europe, and after I quit my job last December, I spent the first half of this year traveling around Asia. When I travel, I like to relax into a place and eat/meander my way through. I'm definitely not in a rush to do everything - it just gives me more reason to come back! It's hard to choose a favorite travel destination, so I'll give a top 5: the Philippines (I'm probably biased because I'm Filipino-American, but it is crazy there), Mongolia, the salt flats in Bolivia, Utah, Berlin.
As far as what I'm like as a guest, I'm pretty good at managing my space, probably because I'm so used to dealing with small, shared spaces in hostels, campsites, etc. I love meeting people when I travel and find cultural differences fascinating. I'm actually going to be starting grad school in Intercultural Relations, so I'm happy that I have the opportunity to think about this stuff full-time.
