My husband Barnabas and I love being air bnb hosts! We are outdoorsy and active, enjoy hiking, gardening, and hanging out together. Our two children are both in college but we love it when they come home for a break. I am a middle school science teacher and geologist, and my husband is a landscape architect/designer who runs his own small business in his beautiful studio at the back of our property.
We like to read, eat healthy, take walks, ride our bikes, listen to music, watch movies and sports, and visit with friends and family. We love to travel to the mountains, the beach, go overseas or to see family throughout the US. We are social, and outgoing, but also enjoy our downtime. We have 2 dogs, a cat, and lovebirds, so there is always something going on.
We use solar panels, collect rainwater for our irrigation, compost, and recycle with enthusiasm. We hope to limit the negative impacts our lives might have to our environment, and we do our homework on environmental issues so our choices are based on good information. We are happy to loan you a mountain bike (or unicycle!) to ride on the trails, or just go around town with. Being close to trails allows our guests to take nice hikes.
We like to get to know our guests, and are happy to hang out in the evenings with a beer or cup of tea and talk if you like conversation. We have always had an open door for friends and family, so its easy to be Airbnb hosts. I hope you come and enjoy our hospitality.
