Hi, I'm an academic & love to travel. Something I like about hosting people on Air BnB is getting to meet people from all over the world.
Had a charming stay at this apartment. Got in very early and Andrea was gracious enough to let me nap on the couch while the apartment was cleaned. Very comfortable apartment. Loved being in the very functional, quaint kitchen. Washer and dryer also a bonus over any hotel. Views from the balcony were a huge bonus - better than any hotel. Perfect location for me, convenient to the tube, train station and my son's dormitory. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend it to others. Andrea is very helpful with ideas for travel and eating.
We thoroughly enjoyed our two-week stay in this clean, comfortable, and convenient studio. Although the building is on a fairly busy street, the flat is very quiet and peaceful, as it is on the 6th floor and looks over a park. A lovely place to come home to at the end of the day. Easy access to all transportation, coffee shops, cafes, pubs, parks, museums. Andrea the host was very responsive and helpful both before and during our stay.
If we returned to London, and we will one day, we would stay at Andrea's apartment again. Andrea was very helpful and there when we needed her. The location is fantastic, especially if you are arriving via Gatwick and taking the First Capital Train to St. Pancras station (ten minute walk). There are convenient bus and subway lines very close by, lots of parks, places to eat and some really great local pubs. Walk in any direction and you'll be happy that you did, so much to see, all within 2-30 minutes walking time. London is so wonderful, it's a big city and charming at the same time. Staying at this apartment will make you very happy with your visit to one of the world's great cities.
Andrea's flat is well located in Camden, walking distance to the Russell Square tube. Her apartment building is filled with 1930's charm. The flat was a bit chilly at first during our early March visit due to very windy weather with temperatures in the 40's. The wind will enter the flat through drafty windows, so be sure to pack sweaters if you are traveling in the winter months. If it is not windy, the heaters provided are adequate. The flat is best for a couple or a single person as there is a double bed (it may be a queen size), but there really is no pull out sofa to accommodate another person. Andrea is a wonderful host, and will provide you with excellent tips for nearby restaurants. We had some difficulty with the TV which did not work, and Andrea travelled all the way back to London from her home in Brighton just to fix the TV for us! We really appreciated her extra efforts to make sure we were comfortable!
Great location - convenient to Piccadilly Line for travel to/from Heathrow and elsewhere; good underground & bus service wherever we wanted to go. We found the Calthorpe Arms pub a block away - great food and the nicest staff & customers in the world! The apartment itself, while perfectly sufficient for our needs, didn't quite deserve the word "gorgeous" in my opinion; decor & art on the monotone side. The second person in or out of the bed must climb over the foot!
The studio is fantastic, it is in an excellent position, very close to the underground, shopping centre, nice restaurants, British Museum, and nice walking distance from Convent Garden. The owner is very kind, communication with her was extremely easy both before arriving to London and during my permanence in the studio. I enjoyed very much my staying in the studio and I strongly recommend it.
A real design treasure in the heart of London. Lovers of Deco will hugely enjoy this beautifully original living space and the warm welcome of the owner. Views to die for across the city and everything you ever want within easy walking distance.
very comfortable and truly memorable.
This flat was a lovely space to spend a month in London. It was comfortable to work in as well as an amazing location from which to visit the city. Clean and quiet building, lots of natural light, a kitchen with all the essentials, and superb decor. I would easily stay here again.
I was very happy in this apartment-- it was a lovely little "home away from home" for me over a Christmas holiday. I had plenty of space to make myself at home, the bed was comfy, I loved the flat's vintage character, and it was a great convenience to have a washer and dryer in the flat. The view is fun to photograph, taking in the street below with the Gherkin and financial district in the distance. I was quite content to stay in the flat on Christmas day and on rainy mornings, and still in a week saw five plays, visited four museums, saw street performers in Covent Garden, browsed designer shops in the theatre district, and had my tarot cards read in Neal's Yard, The bus and tube are close by, and as a woman traveling alone, I felt safe walking around this area or traversing the few blocks from the nearest tube station after dark. Andrea was an excellent host; on the day I arrived she showed me around the neighborhood, and her online guide to the area's restaurants and shops, with walking/driving directions, is first-rate.
Thanks Andrea for enhancing my first visit to London. The apartment is ideally situated - an easy walk to Russell Square or Kings Cross tube stations. We really enjoyed the extremely comfy bed, and waking up to magnificent city views every morning. The sunrises were amazing.
We appreciated having a separate, well equipped kitchen, and there was plenty of storage space to enable us to spread out.
Andrea was excellent with the communication, and was very obliging.
Andrea stayed in our apartment and she was very sweet, flexible and understanding of some heater issues while she stayed here. She is definitely welcome back any time!
Andrea was a wonderful guest. She was quiet, clean, and respectful of house rules. Five stars!
Andrea was a fantastic guest. The room was as clean as when she arrived on the day she left. We also had a really interesting conversation when she came in. I wouldn't hesitate to have her back!!
Andrea seemed very friendly and smiling.
Organized and frankly, seemed to have enjoyed their stay in Rio de Janeiro.
She talked about her photo exhibition.
I was sick in the days when she was here.
Left the House spotless.
I hope to come back and have another chance to have a connection.

Andrea is very friendly. Very polite person also. A person peaceful coexistence and enjoyable. Those who seem to know when we're friends forever.
Andrea was great and easy to communicate from the very first contact.I didn't get to meet Andrea but,met her husband Ian and the kids and they were very nice so I'm sure Andrea is a lovely person.
The condo was nicely maintained with everything in order and for a family it was left very neat.
I would recommend Andrea to other hosts without hesitation !
Andrea is the nicest guest to have and showed herself over-respectful of my house. I'll welcome her anytime again!
I instantly liked Andrea when I met her. Friendly and uncomplicated, she took good care of the apartment, was very respectful of the property and left it spotlessly clean when she left. I have no reservations to recommend her to any future hosts !
Very friendly, open-minded person, positive energy!
Very nice to meet Andrea, although she was quite busy, we got to chat a little in the mornings and evenings.
Clean, responsible guest, always welcome to stay again.
