I am a journalist/writer, lecturer and anthropologist, spending my present time teaching in college or writing in my house in Oslo, where I have lived and owned for twenty years.
I also own a farm in the middle of Norway where I spend quite a lot of time, mostly- and always in summer. I know Oslo and Norway very well, and I can inform you about most things you want to know about my country. On your request I may also take you to visit places of particular interest in my car.
I have lived in UK, France and Spain and travelled a lot in the world. I am a fluent speaker of English, French, Spanish- and also some German learnt at school. I easily communicate with Italian, Portugese and Dutch-speaking people, too. Being Norwegian I have, of course, no problem in communicating with Danish, Swedish and other Scandinavians.
Being a master of social anthropology I am internationally orientated, and interested in most human, social and global issues and phenomenons.
My background in drama from acting school in London makes me highly interested in theatre and literature. Music, from rock and folk to classical is a major interest, also ballet and in particular opera and fine singing. I am a regular twice a week at my nearby operapub Underwater at Sankthanshaugen in Oslo. Video and photography is an ald hobby of mine among many other hobbies and interests. Being a Norwegian I have learnt to know and love nature, from the sea through the forest and as high as possible up in the mountains. Himalaya is my next on the list. Sky is the limit..
Welcome to my house in Oslo !
