We had a lovely time here. The house has a "cottage" feel--cozy and sweet. The kitchen was terrific and updated, with great appliances. Monique was really nice to work with, providing helpful information and being accommodating. The location of this place couldn't be beat--so close to farms, wineries, beaches (all 5-10 minute drive).
We visited Monique's Greenport home in August and had the most wonderful stay! The house was clean, perfectly located, and exactly what we were hoping it would be for our long weekend getaway. Monique provided great recommendations and easy instructions making our stay comfortable and our first visit to Greenport such a success. Thank you for everything, Monique! Can't wait to visit again!
Monique's place is absolutely the best! This was our second time staying there, this time with my mom and our 6 month old. It's a perfect size, cozy and cute, clean and airy. It was a nice stroll from the downtown area. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking supplies and the house was stocked with clean towels and linens. The back yard is a great place to sit and relax and spot a few deer. Monique was immediately accessible for questions and gave great recommendations for places to check out on the Northfork. We definitely would love to come back, hopefully next time for longer than just a weekend. I would recommend Monique's house to anyone that wants to check out the northfork and Monique is a wonderful host.
This house is great! Cute and cozy from the outside, but rustic and spacious on the inside (with an amazing modern kitchen). Location is awesome -- few minute's drive, or even walkable, to Main Street Greenport, and the area's vineyards and other attractions are also easily accessible by car.
Monique's house is the perfect spot for a weekend getaway. It's very close to Greenport and wineries, yet in a quiet and relaxing area.

Cutest little house! 2 bedrooms, a very nice kitchen, bathroom, and great room. I liked the quirky decor in the house. The beds were comfy. Monique was accommodating for our late arrival. We didn't have time to enjoy the backyard, but it looked nice. She sent a very helpful email with details about the area, the house (wifi), etc... House could have used some additional minor cleaning, but nothing major.
We had the most wonderful week away at Monique's home in Greenport! It was hard to leave the cozy cottage and peaceful backyard. The home is in a great place, near enough to walk to the shops on Main St and the harbor, but far enough away that you feel part of the local scenery. Also, a short bike or car ride to any of the beaches in the area and to other nearby towns and all the North Fork wineries.
The yard is well-wooded, so you can't really see the neighbors, even though the house is on a small residential street. There is a neighborhood cat who likes to sprawl out on the front path, and deer occasionally wander into the backyard.
The house itself is small but comfortable. The bedrooms are cozy and nicely, but simply furnished with comfortable beds. The kitchen is modern and well-furnished. We did lots of cooking with fresh produce from the local farm stands and sat around the big, beautiful table for breakfast and dinner most days. There is also a grill and fire pit for use in the backyard. It really began to feel like home rather quickly.
Monique was easy to reach, and had lots of suggestions for things to do - - restaurants, wineries, beaches - - and for practical things - - grocery stores, etc.
I highly recommend booking with Monique. I know I will try to if I'm in the area again.
We had the best holiday here. A cosy, timber house on a nice street (in a really beautiful town) with enough room for the 4 of us and a well equipped kitchen- which was excellent value for money. Everything was provided (including wi-fi which kept the kids happy in the welcome absence of a TV) and Monique could not have been more helpful. Look out for the friendly neighborhood cat- and squirrel!
We were so sad to leave this absolutely amazing house!
While we never got to meet Monique, she was great at keeping in touch with us and making sure we were OK. Her email with information about the house and tips on where to go was amazing and hugely appreciated.
The house has everything you could ever need, including a fantastic kitchen, a barbecue, a shed with bikes (which we could use), a washer and dryer, and a gorgeous little backyard. Having spent many months in Manhattan, the house and Greenport itself were an absolute dream.
Greenport is villagey, cute and extremely beautiful. The people are friendly and the restaurants are great.
We can't wait to return to Greenport, and hopefully we'll get to stay in Monique's house when we do so.
Monique's parents stayed at our place while visiting her and what lovely people all around. She had great communication about who would be staying and made handing off the keys a breeze. Would happily rent to her or her parents again!

Monica is ok.
Respectful, easy going, problem free.
I didn't get a chance to meet Monique but she left my home in great shape and was easy to communicate with. Host her anytime!
Monique was a great guest... again! She notified me immediately when she accidentally broke a window -- this is the type of communication that makes a guest excellent. I'm sure it was at least 1/2 the window's fault, as it needed new glazing putty anyway. I look forward to her next stay, and would recommend her highly to other hosts on Airbnb.
Fantastic guest. I was happy to have her! Very responsible and respectful of the property.
Monique you are welcome back anytime, and I am so glad to hear you and your husband had a wonderful stay at Villa Salinara!
Ciao Yumi and Adriano
Monique and her friend were fine guests -- very independent, didn't need much from me. They seemed to like the place and left it in very good condition.
