Hi Alyssa: Thanks for the nice remarks. We do love our place on Kaya India. We are trying to figure out a solution for the chicken issue, like more fencing. Baasje is addressing this problem right now. It IS a rural neighborhood, and so for all that it offers it is still the deep country part of Bonaire, where they've lived the same way for many years. Also, a short walk to the sea and a lovely spot to boot as you have said. Meanwhile, we're also suggesting that people turn on CAC and shut the bedroom windows at night. Which is against my principles, and very expensive, but better than guests losing sleep on their vacation. Again, we really apologize and are addressing the issue. Thank you for staying with us, Rue and Steve
Hello Anna: Thank you for the comments. We have been telling people to shoo the chicken family out of the garden. They will go after a few tries. I think that's part of the country ambiance of Bonaire, and living in a real neighborhood. I'm sorry for the trouble and glad that you found the rest of your stay enjoyable.
Hi Rachel: So glad you liked the cottage, we love it too and will spend two weeks there this coming April. Yes, it is a real neighborhood, with all that comes with that. I'm now writing people to shoo the chicken family out of the garden which generally works after a few tries. As for the motorbikes, well, it's a real neighborhood and we've found they don't go on for too long. Also, the location, the garden, the wildlife, and all the comforts of home come at a quite low price. I don't think there's another place on Bonaire that offers all that we do, which is why we are booked almost all the time. Thank you for your comments, and for staying with us.
