Welcoming and Caring is our motto.
We have great lodging here in Cambodia. We are looking forward to hosting you via Airbnb.
Les Bambous Boutique is a lovely oasis from the Siem Reap chaos. We had spent four nights in the center of town a week earlier, then came here after four nights in Battambang. As the last two days of our Cambodia trip this hotel was a great place to relax. It's located in a center courtyard well away from the traffic, so it is always peaceful. The pool is perfect. We had our breakfasts, two lunches and two dinners there, all quite good. If you want to go to town it's an easy ten minute tuk tuk ride.
If you want to roll out of your hotel into the downtown street scene this is not where you want to be. But if you want a laid back, tranquil, friendly home, this is the place.
We were on our honeymoon and Nathalie & Francois took very good care of us during our short stay. I can't stay about the big hotels that were all over Siem Reap but we found Les Bambous very comfortable and convenient. The temples and pub street are both short tuk tuk drives away. The breakfast is filling with lovely coffee. Their fish amok is fantastic. Didn't use the pool or jacuzzi but they seemed a great bonus. I would recommend this hotel/b&b to all kinds of travellers.
I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to be treated like a King or Queen. I stayed here for 6 days and cherished every second! Food is excellent, staff are amazing and on it! Clean, friendly, hospitable.
Nathalie set up a wonderful tuk tuk driver to help me navigate my way around, viewing temples, eating ice cream, best dinner ever! laughing so cool! She aslo set up fun, beautiful, and educational experiences bike ride tours in the country and dinner and dance show. Experience s that are unique and keep you a step ahead of the gigantic loud busses.
I think what is wo unique about this hotel compared to other big massive ones along the strip is that it is small enough that you can share your day with the other guests learn other languages and you know faces.
Really happy I found this place, a thousand times more would be heaven.
Goede locatie, lekker rustig. Eigen Tuk Tuk chaufferur is heel prettig voor langere uitstapjes.
Ontbijt was een beetje weinig. Wel goede kwaliteit. Maar 1 broodje.Diner matig. Weinig keus, veel van hetzelfde.
Bijzonder aardig Frans stel, Nathalie en ? die altijd voor je klaar staan en ook graag een praatje maken.
Nice and quiet place, clean rooms with beautiful views, very caring hosts, they helped us to get the best from our stay. The food was excellent and the swimming pool a real plus. Good value for the money
Me and my two kids (10,14) had a great time at les Bamboos. It was a nice hotel with sourrounding garden and a pool. Perfect to relax here after a busy day at Angkor.
Staying at Les Bambous was a fantastic/lucky decision on our part! Nathalie & François are incredible hosts and their staff do an excellent job making everything comfortable. If you are looking for an alternative to big hotel/resort, this is your place.
From the moment of our booking to our departure we felt welcome and were surprised at the openness they shared. They were honest and full of integrity. In fact, I'd say if anyone has anything poor to say, it's due to miscommunication and a lack of desire to discuss the issue with the hosts. Their knowledge of the local area and recommendations can be fully trusted. Once you arrive, share with Nathalie & François what your interests are and let them help you build a good itinerary for you - they'll do this cost effectively and with love for the locals! You can trust their tuk-tuk drivers, as François has taken care to make sure the safest and most honest ones work for Les Bambous. Enjoy your trip to Siem Reap and my advice is put your trust in these folks! Make sure you are honest and communicate what you want/need, and they'll make sure you have an experience that you'll remember for life.
As for the rooms they are comfortable, air conditioned and quiet. Remember you aren't going there to stay in a 5 star posh hotel or fancy place. The basics are there and comfortable. Beyond that, the true experience is the shared interactions with the guests and hosts and the sights of Siem Reap.
The hotel and room were comfortable, and the grounds were very pretty. The pool is very nice to come back to after a long day at Angkor. The bathroom in our twin bedroom wasn't much to look at and doesn't really match what I would call 'boutique'.
However, we didn't have a good experience with the bicycles provided. We arose at 4:30am to get to Angkor by sunrise and couldn't find the bikes -- they were not 'put out' for us as our host said they would be. We discovered the bikes had no air in the tires (we had to do this ourselves in the dark), and frankly, weren't big enough for adults. We also weren't informed that there are no streetlights for most of the way to Angkor, and the bicycles weren't equipped with headlights -- a rather dangerous prospect given traffic conditions. We were rather disappointed to have missed the sunrise at Angkor, perhaps one of the best moments of any stay in Siem Reap.
I would stay here again, but for future guests who plan to cycle to Angkor, suggest that you rent proper, fast, right-sized bikes.
Wonderful experience! From the warm welcoming by Nathalie and François to the parting it was a great stay. All the staff are incredibly kind and helpful. The tuk-tuk driver who helped us (Bun Than) was fun and led us to the perfect spots around Angkor at just the right time (at sunset and sunrise). The rooms were clean and comfortable. The food was delicious.
Les Bambous is a just off the main road which made for a peaceful location. I made this visit to Cambodia after a Singapore work trip and before a India work trip and I loved the fact that when I wasn't out exploring I could relax by the pool without trying to overcome the noise of the road. It was just perfect. My initial hesitation was the distance from the city, but it wasn't a problem at all. Very quick and convenient to jump in a tuk-tuk and get downtown or to the temples. And even if it is a 5 minute longer ride from downtown, the peace and quiet is worth it.
The last (and most important) point to make was that the stay didn't feel like a stale transaction. Nathalie and François were very warm and friendly. It really added to the visit and provided a welcoming "home" to come back to at the end of the night. I'll be staying at Les Bambous the next time I'm in Siem Reap...without a doubt.
