I am a teacher from Dingwall and I am passionate about the outdoors especially hillwalking.
" This rental is one of the best rentals my family has stayed in throughout our travels. The combination of the home itself and its warm and helpful owners puts you at ease in the beautiful hills of Scotland. The home has a foundation of stone, with the same architecture by code as other older Scottish Highland homes, yet the inside is rebuilt with state of the art resources for travelers. Laura and Gordon are so helpful with any questions we had, including good hiking destinations, how to use the appliances, and even going so far as to have fresh flowers and food for our next-day breakfast awaiting us. The home is redone with beautiful tile and modern appliances in the kitchen and bathrooms, an old-fashioned wood stove and gorgeous large Scottish wood table in the kitchen, and of course all of the amenities such as washer and dryer that make life easier. There are five good-sized bedrooms with quality linens and three bathrooms, giving groups of people the kind of privacy that makes for a nice sharing of a home. There is so much to do in the area that a week's stay barely scratches the surface, but we would return here in a heartbeat. Our thanks to the Christies for their unusual commitment to their renters."
We were delighted with house and hosts. Couldn't have been better. Lovely warm comfortable home with superb views. Would thoroughly recommend.
We had a lovely stay at Coul Beag and Laura and her husband could not have been more friendly and helpful. We booked the house for the period over the Christmas holidays and although the weather was wet, windy and wintery the house was very cozy and a great base for exploring the surrounding Highlands.
Big plus was also the location which was rural and private but within minutes drive of Dingwall and slightly further to the city of Inverness.
There were also some lovely small touches like a Christmas tree and decorations to make it feel festive.
I would happily recommend the house to anyone looking for a large house in the highlands and would love to visit again in summer!
When we first saw Coul Baig on the net, we were sure it would be a good place for our holiday. The house - and more Laura & Gordon- were absolutely perfect. Couldn't have asked for more. An immaculated fitted out house, Coul Beag is very well located to explore the Western and Eastern parts of the Highlands. Would unhesitantly recommend it for anyone visiting that part of Scotland. We will certainly be back!!
This is a great house. We had a great time here. Laura is a wonderful host. We has special needs and she worked with us on them. Wish we had more time there.
The house is beautifully laid out and a joy to be in. Hope we can come back some time. It's location is perfect for where ever you want to go explore. But, just sitting in the conservatory looking at the view is something I could do all day.
We had an excellent trip to the Highlands staying at Coul Beag. The house is ideal for a group trip. Laura and Gordon were excellent hosts and provided all we required for our stay. We particularly enjoyed making use of the large garden and summer house. I would highly recommend this property.
We will definitely be back! this was the best place to stay.
Beautifully spacious and well presented house, located in an picturesque setting and exceeded our expectations. Laura and her husband were extremely welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. I would definitely recommend Coul Beag House and stay there again.
Laura our host was by far our best host thus far on the trip. Laura and Gordon were so hospitable right from the beginning with fantastic communication and fast replies to any questions we had. The level of their generosity was summed by by the fact they even stocked up the fridge with food for our arrival and had the house looking brilliant for Christmas! We highly recommend Laura and her property! Thank you so much for all you did to make our trip a pleasure.
