Checking in was easy as Sam gave us all necessary information a couple of days before and left the key at our disposal. The apartment is simple but comfortable and very well located. A little noise early morning, but nothing that prevented us from sleeping well. Good wifi, good heating (even a little too much sometimes ?) and no sophisticated or fragile stuff that would make life difficult.
Its been a pleasure to stay in Sam's place, the flat is amazing near from everything you need...
I thank you again for let us stay a little bit longer to avoid the rain : -)
I highly recomend it !!!
Hi, everything was great. Clean and very well stocked. Excellent location, so many great restaurants, and Brick Lane 1 minute walk. 10 minutes to Liverpool St station, 5 to Spitalsfield market. Supermarkets near by. 15-20 minutes walk to Tower of London.
The flat has absolutely everything you need with 2 bathrooms a large lounge, really well furnished, very good TV. I would highly recommend this Apartment.
Sam, thank you thank you for being such a great host! We had an amazing stay and I wish we could have stayed longer!
Contrary to the previous review, we had a great check in experience: the check in was timely and organized and had absolutely no issues. The place was exceptionally clean, and living room, bedrooms and bathrooms look exactly like the pictures. Plenty of natural light and awesome balcony. It was just perfect!
We fell in love with the area: Shoreditch is the place to be in London and the apartment is located in the heart of it! 1 minute from Shoreditch High Street Station, 6 minutes from Liverpool Street Station (plenty of buses going there as well), close to eclectic Brick Lane and Spitalfied Markets (please go visit them on a weekend). Fun bars and great restaurants nearby as well (thank you Sam for the recommendations!).
Next time in London, I will book Sam’s apartment again!
Excellent stay at Wheler street. We had a fantastic time with our friends, staying here for one week. Comfortable beds, spacious living room and good sound system! Balcony with very nice view (as on the picture).
The only advice I can give is to arrange the check-in time a couple of days before, not the last day! Sam is a great host, but living in Australia. So when we wanted to check in (last minute) he was not available. (absolutely phenomenal service via Billy from AirBnb who gave us a complementary night in the St. Ermain Hotel in Westminster!!)
Because of the inconvenience caused, our dear Sam gave us the opportunity to stay one day longer in his apartment. Don't hesitate, and book this awesome apartment if you want to have a good time in Shoreditch.
Supermarket literally around the corner. Brick Lane and Spitalfields market few minutes walk, Shoreditch Overground station 1 minute walk and Liverpool Street 6 minute walk. Check Time-Out London for good restaurants in the neighborhood, there are plenty! Sam did sent me an email with good advises and recommendations as well.

The apartment was spacious, well appointed and very centrally situated. It met all our needs. Our only problem was the difficulty we had in contacting Sam prior to and during our stay in order to make arrangements for our check in and check out. Sam was completely unresponsive to emails, which caused a great deal of stress prior to our trip as we weren't entirely sure until we arrived in London that we even had a place to stay. We also had a fair amount of confusion about check-out. We never actually met Sam but we strongly had the sense from all the confusion that his AirBnB guests were a source of great annoyance and inconvenience in his life. This did put a bit of a damper on our stay.
We stayed in London for five days with friends and Sam's flat was perfect for us.The place is very clean and cosy, situated in a quiet neibourghood, on the top floor of a former warehouse.
When you turn the corner of the street you'll find the vibrant Bricklane area with many restaurants, bars, vintage shops or even the Bagel Company where to taste some delicious salted beef. Street markets too, on weekends. Just a few minutes walk, you'll find the Shoreditch Overground reaching the city center quickly.
It was an enjoyable experience, as soon as we got the keys.
Concerning these, it would be necessary to be able to provide a second set of keys to avoid people to wait for the others when they have different schedules during their stay.
Highly recommended anyway !
Great apartment with fantastic location!
Unfortunately, the check-in was somewhat challenging. The host came almost two hours late - and did not answer us when we tried to call him. Thanks to Airbnb crew, the problem was solved.
Sam is a great guest.
Sam was great! Easy and since he is a host himself was full of ideas for our new place.
Hope we will see him again!
Very cool traveller :) Nice Person
Sam is very good guest, serious and very please. I will recommend you..
Decent, friendly and goodlooking guests
Sam and his two friends lived up to us American girls' ideas of "charming Englishmen." Prompt payment, polite, clean, and great to chat with. They were my first guests to have ever hosted and I can only hope it's always this pleasant.
I hope to stay in touch with them as they were personable and responsible! Thanks guys! I hope you enjoy BM.
Sam's a long-standing mate and a fellow tech-scene maverick in London. Outgoing, connected and knowledgable about all the great stuff this city has to offer, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him as a host.
I love the Apartment having stayed there in July. It has a very comfortable new double bed with matching chest of draws and large mirror, so us girls can preen ourselves and do our hair. Everything is supplied, hair dryer soaps, dishwasher, toasters , kettle etc
The Lounge is very large with massive of light and two new Ikea sofa beds that are very comfortable, a new Smart TV, Wifi, large dining table. Even a cute two seater table to sit outside to enjoy ones morning coffee and yes there is some sun in London.
It is lovely and quiet in this peaceful enclave, plus very safe and yet only 1 minute from a very vibrant area, excellent coffee shops, great bars, and restaurants. I loved using the Barclays bikes and cycling to Tower bridge, into Oxford St, out to the Olympic Park(10 minutes). Plus it's about 12 minute walk to Liverpool St station, which is the central line.
There is just so much to see walking around, the history and architecture are marvellous.
I highly recommend Sam as a Host and this Apartment to enjoy your stay in London.
Sam is an awesome guest and host. Thumbs up all around!
This is a clean and spacious warehouse in one of the hippest areas in London. The apartment is well maintained and would make a comfortable and convenient stay. It also has very fast Wifi. Its very close to London Liverpool St station giving you easy access across the city although the area itself has enough activities going on to keep you entertained. Brick Lane is constantly buzzing with culinary delights, unique shopping and also a fantastic place to people watch.
Sam is a helpful, friendly, easygoing guy who can direct you to the right London hotspots for a fun and enjoyable stay.
Sam is a great host! He works in the creative media industry which has it's heart in the Shoreditch area. He is a fun and outgoing person who knows all the latest nearby restaurants and bars. Sam is also a world traveller and is forever jetting off to all parts of the globe.
I can highly recommend Sam as a host and I know that the apartment is awesome, I can't wait to stay there myself when I visit from Australia!
Stayed at Sam's place in Shoreditch in August during the London Olympics. My experience was nothing but awesome, the place is a spacious one bed room apartment with wooden flooring, and modern furniture. The lounge is huge with several windows which provides you sufficient light and fresh air. Fully equipped kitchen with awesome view over the beautiful courtyard that is gated and surrounded with buildings that keeps the noise from the vibrant Brick Lane away.
I think it's fair to say that the area suits everyone, a very diverse place with tons of different restaurant and bars that you will never get sick off. I truly recommend to extend your London Weekend until Monday to not miss out on the vibrant Sunday's at Brick Lane that gets packed with interesting people, food stalls serving all kinds of food and second hand shopping.
All in all, an "hidden" gem off Brick Lane, one of the coolest and most outgoing areas of London. Has no complains at all at the apartment as it has everything you will need, and can room everything from 1-6 persons, and also comes with a hallway with two doors which means more privacy for each guests if you are several that shares the place.
